  1. Last weekend I bought a bottle of Slane to start my collection. I have a Jameson Crested that's unopened, I'm saving it for some special occasion. I think the next purchase will be Angel's Envy
  2. This would be my preferred route
  3. True. Well, I appreciate you and We've listening to me complain. It was therapeutic in a way. I plan on waking up with a fresh mindset and happy to drive to work rather than take my 4th Uber drive in the last 2 days.
  4. Man, I didn't think it was such a common problem... But no, these brake lines have never had work done on them before. They fixed the rear brake lines and mentioned to me that the fuel lines don't look great either.
  5. Absolutely. I'm driving to Rochester this weekend with my girlfriend to celebrate my grandma's 90th birthday with family so I'm glad everything is taken care of before that trek.
  6. Good information to know. Like I said, I wish I knew more about cars and was able to diagnose things myself. Since I can't, I remain skeptical typically. I do feel a little better about paying for the fix though. Thanks for the insight, We've.
  7. Yeah, I've always had a good experience with Mr. Tire funny enough. I wish I brought it to them in Depew. I didn't want my car in the shop for 2 days so I went to Pep Boys since they're open late, but the car was in for 2 days anyways once they found/made broken brake lines. Lesson learned I guess. This experience alone makes me want to learn all I can about cars in order to avoid this in the future. EDIT: Side note, if anyone who reads this has a mechanic in Buffalo that they truly trust and have a good working relationship with, let me know! I'm always willing to give people a chance based off of recommendations
  8. Good question... I have no idea how that place is on game day but in general, it's a great place to stop in for a bite and a pint (also, their beef stroganoff is phenomenal)
  9. This may possibly be the case. I won't totally dismiss it. But my brake light has never came on before. Maybe 2 years ago or so but since then I've had no indication of a leak of any kind. I'll keep telling myself that it was a ticking time bomb just to help stomach the cost (which hurts more when you're a recent graduate trying to make ends meet). But it's really hard to feel good about it when you have had zero indication of there being any issue until you bring it into their shop for the first time in your life. Honestly, what are the odds that the brake line breaks the one time I put it on a Pep Boys lift? And if it broke while they were putting on a wheel bearing, shouldn't the fix fall on them? I don't know, the damage is done and the money is out of the account. I'm just going back and forth between trying to accept it and hoping I wasn't made a fool.
  10. I'll take this and cover some local drinking options... I've only been living in the city for a few months now so I'm still exploring myself. But of the breweries in Buffalo, Pearl St. is a good one. RIght now they have their Oktoberfest which is incredibly good. They're walking distance from KBC so they're a good option if you end up staying near the arena. My personal favorite brewery in Buffalo is Big Ditch. It's further from the arena (roughly a 20 minute walk) so it's not a convenient distance away but the Uber would be cheap. If you and your friends are into hoppy beers and like IPA's, Thin Man Brewery is a good place to go. I'm not an IPA fan so I'm going off of others' experiences but they supposedly have a great selection of hoppy beers. Only issue is that you would definitely need an Uber to get there.
  11. So, has anyone else ever brought their car in to get a new wheel bearing, only to have their break line miraculously break while on the mechanics lift? And after arguing back and forth, being stuck with the bill for the 2 break lines? My $391 wheel bearing bill turned into $620 dropped on a 12 year old car tonight... FYI, DO NOT EVER take your car into the Pep Boys station on Elmwood Ave... I get out of work at 5:30 and they're open late so I thought I had no other choice, but it would have absolutely been worth dropping my car off somewhere else I trusted and leaving it there for an entire day and taking Uber to work and back.
  12. Scandella was hobbling, Girgensons could barely stand, I'm sitting here ready to pull my hair out, shot rips off the post... Damn near had a heart attack
  13. Seems like the broadcast cam is tighter to the ice than normal... I feel like it's moving quickly to keep up with the puck
  14. I probably care about that goal more than I should, but I really was hoping it would go to Sam. Hopefully it kick-starts him this season
  15. That's a good way to put it, and I agree.
  16. Maybe I would make the argument that Eichel's game is more "complete" than Matthews'
  17. I've felt this way ever since Matthews joined the league. Just waiting for others outside of the Buffalo market to notice as well...
  18. Alright I'm checking out. I have a long day tomorrow. Good luck the rest of the night everyone! Hopefully the team makes it worth your time to stay up by giving you a win
