  1. I'd say his passing is slightly behind his shooting ability. I think his shot is similar to Sam's passing in effectiveness and ability (again, amateur observations taking place here). With that being said, I 1000% agree he's at his best when he's using the proper amount of each skill he has.
  2. I'm a complete homer for Jack so I'm excited whenever he shoots. Whether it's an ideal shot or not, I feel like it'll go in when it's him winding up. And if not, I figure the rebound will be juicy. Is it sound logic? No. Does my heart flutter whenever he winds up or snaps off a wrister? Maybe...
  3. I feel like Eichel's decision making is very sound, unless it's a blind pass. Every other situation he does the right thing, but those soft blind passes seem to occur with him more than anyone else. He'll mitigate the frequency of them with time I'm sure
  4. I'll apologize now before I get any more beer in me. Not the most knowledgeable hockey fan here (I'm much more apt with the X's and O's of football) so most of the posts tonight will be amateur observations. I should take the time to do some research on basic hockey strategy. In the mean time, Go Sabres!
  5. Zemgus, really close. Carolina looks like their heads are in the clouds
  6. Ellicottville Chocolate Cherry Bomb Imperial Stout. I'm in love
  7. Well, maybe the last 45 seconds of that period will spark them. Who knows. *Pours another beer*
  8. Doesn't look like they have it in them tonight... Unless they come out firing in the third it's not their night
  9. Forgot to update: Had it 2 weekends ago. Extremely smooth and balanced. One of the best porters I've ever had. Cheers for the recommendation!
  10. What the hell is wrong with this team? (Maybe if I said isn't, it would be a shorter list)
  11. Do you think GMTM chews DB's ear off after the game??
  12. I know for me personally, I'm not at that stage yet where I can enjoy whiskey straight without some sort of flavoring. I can do Old Fashioned's, Manhattan's, Sazerac's, CR Vanilla, BV Toasted Caramel, but not "unflavored" for lack of a decent term. At the same time, I don't sit around and pretend like I'm drinking from the finest aged whiskey barrels on earth. I know what I'm drinking is affordable and I probably couldn't tell the difference between cheap straight or expensive straight anyways. Maybe it's good I'm not at that stage yet, considering I'm 23 years old :P And you aren't a snob. I'm the same way when it comes to beer. When my friend cracks open a bud light, takes a sip, and tells me how good it tastes about 50 questions run through my head. I'm not above drinking light beer at all, but I'm not going to tell you the wonderful flavor it has. From my extremely limited experience, I can tell you CR vanilla has a much less pronounced flavor added to the whisky than most. The term that comes to mind is "balanced." The vanilla doesn't try to mask the whisky, just compliment it from what I can taste.
  13. Wegmans in Amherst. Might be a bit of a hike for you but if it's as good as you say it is...
