I've had a feeling we will pick #3 for a long time; after so much desire to see us win the last 2 years and then not get #1, I figure we will win something now that no one has really been talking about this all season. I say we pick third. :beer:

Question: What is the sweeter aspect of the Sabres winning the #1 pick, should they win it? Knowing we got the pick? Or knowing the Maple Leafs did not? I can't decide.

I am concerned about Pysyk's regression this last year. Not sure of McCabe's ultimate ceiling; it may be too low. Risto is not only on the "you can't touch him" list, you can't even look at him. We need more pieces.

Will the Sabres win the lottery for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd? I just played the simulator about 30 times. Got the Sabres winning #1 overall once, second a bunch of times, but most resulted in nothing and us pushing back to 9th overall selection. I have a weird feeling we are going to win one of the top 3 spots.

He would be such a better "voice of the NHL" to non-hockey fans that freaking Doc Emrick. Last I heard Gary was doing Orioles play by play. Offer him the moon and make him the #1 play by play guy on NBC.

I have never seen more hugging and holding with no one willing to drop the gloves than in that Detroit/Tampa game. Absolutely disgraceful. Either play the game or fight. The hugging has no business in the NHL playoffs. Rant over. :lol:

I'm like you; never played with a composite stick. I notice how inaccurate many shooters are these days. On a slightly different tangent, I have thought for several years now that teams should use wood sticks on the PK b/c they just don't break like the comp. sticks do, and a broken stick on a PK can be real disadvantage. Of course, that assumes you can still buy wooden hockey sticks.

I am not 100% sure I have ever seen the guy take a slap shot. Can anyone remember one specifically? I'm going to start watching out for this. Uh, next year I guess. LOL.
