Not an excuse, nor was McCabe being held by Cindy an excuse either! Who remembers the infamous Probert sucker punch of Kevin Maguire in Detroit? Everyone was trying to tie up Probie and he just pushed everyone and everything away like flies, waiting for his shot at Maguire at the bottom of the pile...and when it opened up, he took it! Sabres reaction to the Foligno attempted murder was weak. McCabe was on the ice and he could have jumped in there. Assuming Foligno is OK and comes back, would love to see him settle things up.

The hope and anticipation of watching Bylsma being humiliated in front of his old team will make tonight's game particularly entertaining. From now on, when the team loses, the fans win. At some point the Bylsma era is going to collapse on itself and the sooner the better. The problem is Pegula probably thinks he's doing a good job. Ever notice that with regard to both football and hockey, Pegula is the least informed big time sports fan you've ever known?
