A very debatable topic. I can understand both sides of it. Unless a person is in a similar situation I don't believe they can definitively decide which is correct. Everyone is different. All have our own morals and values.

Oof. Realize you're starting to get a little bit older when splits in an interval workout aren't as easy to hit. Did 3 1 mile repeats w/ a 5 minute light job between each. Still hit the times I wanted. But still felt the pain. Granted, I haven't been putting in the mileage, lifting weights, etc.... that I did in my 20's (mid 30's now) prior to yesterday, so like to think things will get as easy as they used to be. To others on Sabres Space training, keep it up!

Anyone watching college football today? Number 3 Oklahoma is down 19-17 to number 15 Houston. Good one to keep an eye on. Plenty of quality games to watch today. Glad football is back! Change that! Oklahoma went for a 53 yard field goal and it fell short. Houston sat back for it and returned the ball for a TD from their endzone. Go Houston! Love upsets! Now 26-17!

That's awesome! Most people don't know what to expect when they attend their first cross country meet. Often have an idea they'll be watching kids simply run. But after a meet many realize it's an incredible and very entertaining sport. Seeing individuals and a number of teams go at it in race is exciting. Each striving for a personal best, a top individual place and a high finish by a team all at once. It's pure awesomeness. Glad you got to experience it.

Yes, it was nearing the end of the season, but when Kane flipped the puck in to mans land to Eichel on a breakaway and Jack made Cam Ward look like a deer in headlights, it put the final nail in the coffin for the tank. Seeing the reaction of Ray and RJ was priceless. And from I can recall, many watching the game on television were complaining about constant showings of RJ during the game. Proved to be worth it w/ 1 second left on the clock. A goal I'll never forget. No plan to change my avatar anytime soon.

Why? From what I can recall Darcy went for Briere first. Got a no from him. Darcy then went for Drury. Drury knew he was the second choice. May have offended him a bit. He also may have wanted to finish his career w/ a team he grew up watching. And he's now assistant gm for the Rangers. Has to be a franchise he's liked for a very long time. I have no dislike for the guy.

My favorite time to run? 4:45 in the morning by a mile. Temperatures are comfortable, no traffic to be concerned about and you're almost in a world of your own. Streets are vacant, many are still sleeping, and you have the rest of the day knowing your workout for the day is done. It's a great way to start the day. You've already achieved something. Running is a lot of fun. A quote from the late Steve Prefontaine, a runner many feel is America's greatest, is one I live by . "To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." It applies to all parts of life.

Don't feel like looking it up, but the % of present day kids on some type of ADHD medication is through the roof. This is largely due to today's parents....can even add younger, inexperienced pediatricians to that. Almost forgot to mention the change in lifestyle for kids. When we were kids, most of us were outside doing something active. Dreaded the "street lights are on." Take a look around your neighborhood this evening. Most streets will be vacant. Not many kids will be outside playing. They'd rather be inside playing video games, surfing the internet and/or using their cell phone.

Basically the same idea I had about Solo. Part of me supports the Sabres parting ways w/ Kane. Another part of me wants Buffalo to give him another chance. The thing w/ Kane though is we're not even certain a chance needs to be given. If the mess being reported is false, why should the Sabres give him a second chance when there is no reason to do so? Buffalo needs to let things play out. After things are finalized they can go from there. So right now the Sabres need to keep Kane in Buffalo.

In my opinion both games are must plays. Have gone through both. Simply incredible gaming.

Part of me agrees w/ this, but another part me does not. Yes, she is, almost was, incredibly talented, but I can understand why the USWNT decided to cut ties w/ Solo. She's done a few things in the last couple of years that has temporarily hurt Team USA's image. Solo has certainly not been a good role model. However, w/ what she has done for USWNT on the field throughout her career things could have ended on a higher note. USWNT and Solo could have possibly reached an agreement a few months after the Olympics that it was time for her career w/ the USWNT to come to an end. This would have appeared as if it had nothing to do w/ comments made at Olympics. Maybe could have had some type of positive send off. An organized retirement so speak. Just things to consider. What has been done is practically done. Solo's career w/ the USWNT has ended on a sour note.

W/ the World Cup being discussed in another thread thought I'd post this. Can't wait for NHL 17. It's release date is September 13th. Here's a trailer for The World Cup. This year EA Sports included it as a part of the game. Let me add each year there is little improvement, so I understand why people may pass on NHL 17. I'm just really into this series. Will never do this w/ Madden.

US was rather shaky, almost lost to Serbia in pool play from what I can recall, this Olympics, and in for at least one, don't feel like looking it up, the US did not win gold and simply looked pathetic. Are top players were not on the team and the coaching was blah, but there's no excuse for our country to collapse as bad as it did in the Olympics they were embarrassed in. That was one of the reasons Team USA had their lineup stacked in the previous Olympics. Still felt there was little team play this year. Hence the shaky, non-consistent play.

And another Olympic Games is coming to an end. For those that have watched the Games, there will always be at least one moment or athlete you will not forget. Mine is Matthew Centrowitz Jr. winning the 1,500 meter last night. He went for it all w/ 600 meters go. Dropped the hammer so to speak to deliver an incredible kick. Seemed as if he was thinking first or nothing. What a run. And to make things even more memorable is this was America's first gold medal in the 1,500 since 1908! Hope everyone had an opportunity to watch the Olympics. It truly is something special.

Thank you for the correction. Apparently the table I looked at was incorrect. This will be the 3rd highest. Still very impressive.

Back to Olympic talk. To my understanding Team USA's medal count at the Rio Olympics is now 120. This is a new record for our country and the Olympics as a whole. USA!!!

And NBC made another error in this year's coverage of the Olympics. They claimed Chelimo was dq'd for making contact w/ another runner(s). That was not the reason for disqualification. It was later reported Chelimo was dq'd for lane infringement. Thankfully the US appealed. You cannot step on the line. He did that, but after review it was apparent it did not give him any type of advantage. If that's the case a runner will not be dq'd. This returned Chelimo back to 2nd place and a spot on the podium to receive the silver medal. NBC's coverage is terrible.

I haven't seen the latest Ben-Hur yet, but must admit I probably never will. There are certain movies that shouldn't be remade. Thank you for the heads up.

http://www.sbnation.com/2016/8/20/12571456/rio-2016-olympics-team-usa-paul-chelimo-disqualified-from-5000m-after-winning-silver Complete bs. I ran track in the SEC. Elite runners racing in a tight pack is going to involve contact. Elbowing and what not. Paul Chelimo got screwed. Hope an appeal is made. And to make matters worse is he found out from a reporter.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Clowns are never scary? That's like saying no one has some type of phobia. Many adults who were scared by clowns in their childhood still have some type of fear of them. If a person can't be scared by a clown, that means no one can be scared of being on an elevator. Phobias are common.

PI, Thorny and a couple of others have been nailing this thread. Making great point after great point. 3putt thinking ROR could have gone as low as 6.5 if he hit the market? Not a chance. Ladd equal to Okposo's level? Nope, untrue to a certain extent. Plus, the guy will be 31 years old in December. Okposo won't even be 30 for close to 2 years. Gotta factor that. Main difference between Ladd's contract and Okposo's is only .5 million per year. Money can't be used as argument in this situation. Islanders are now a bit less talented, and the Sabres have made a significant upgrade. All for an additional .5 million. Buffalo landed the best UFA this season for a reasonable amount. Okposo was not over paid.

2 days ago 580 × 360 - comicbookmovie.com Weak. Original It (clown) was much more scary. Probably due to the fact it actually looked like a clown.

ha Nice Watch him wait until Saturday to build more suspense for teams and their fans.

Agreed. Allow him time, both games and amount of minutes played, in the minors to improve his game, but most importantly adapt the to speed and level of play in the professional ranks. No reason to rush him in as a top 6 player.
