In that sense the return is found money. when you are trying to recover from the chasm a guy like Botterill left us in, it takes time. That non-certainty of it is a good take I hate the deal and I haven’t once said it can’t work or that these players won’t be good. It’s, for me, simply the principle. I know the deal was limited by $ concerns, I know the priority when making the deal wasn’t fully “winning”. The sabres being bad for this long don’t owe us winning. But they owe us doing their best to maximize winning, when they do or don’t make transactions. It’s as simple as that, for me. My stance is the sabres crest and their fans deserve a no stone unturned approach - I believe expecting nothing less on each and every move is very reasonable

I suppose I’d understand the distinction more if a trade was strictly necessary - was just struggling with the idea the option of making the deal could be construed as good when the option to keep what we’ve deemed as better remains viable I do think there’s some trickiness in the poll options as they aren’t equal from centre - “hate” is further one way than “good”

It’s true. The more time passes the more the sabres are always revealed to have been in the right. They just have to calm down and analyze what actually happened. The results always speak well - most of the time the fans are just too stupid to realize our GM *has* assembled another team capable of amounting to 78 points and there’s nothing to worry about

Like I get I am exaggerating in that plenty were questioning it, but a TON liked it and a lot of those people REALLY liked it. I hate this weird default that all the fans that are unhappy with the team are disingenuous losers who are just pretending to be mad for clout. Why would I/we praise the Savoie trade then? We weren’t hesitant to praise Adams when we THOUGHT he was doing something in the name of winning - why does the argument exist we’d be unhappy still if we actually did win?
