This is infuriating practice from the organization if true
-
It’s a powerful potion because there’s, unfortunately, a lot of logic in it on its face: if you are merely rooting against a team to NOT win a title, it’s more less a Monty Hall switcharoo where your long odds are flipped: very likely you “get what you want” every year
-
If the teams doing our dirty work are Dallas and Boston, it defeats the purpose With you. my lone exception/guilty pleasure is the Jets, but that’s a home town team dynamic

“Destruction of traditional team building principles.” lol ok Kevyn

What are you even talking about? It’s not a surprise, at all, that a non-healthy Stone would decline game 82 of the regular season and suck it up for a playoff game. Use your noggin Occam’s razor just once Teams have been doing the LTIR then back for playoffs thing for ages. Tampa did it. Your issue is with the league, not the teams Vegas just burns more (by the way, you should get that checked out) because of how much Eichel lives in your head rent free. You can admit that, right? They aren’t sitting a healthy stone out to expose and take advantage of a loophole: that’s a conspiracy theory. They are utilizing an arguably unfair rule because they have a legitimate injury

He wasn’t very good in the series and was clearly not 100%. Keep being big mad
-
Apparently that’s about it, any sort of actual success would be setting up for disappointment

Disagree

Only reasonably decently likeable teams left are Colorado and Florida Ya especially when you play the 1 seed in round 1. Good series
-
Jack’s was at least a great opportunity he created from nothing he couldn’t bury. Marchessault just egregiously missed The announcers were losing their ***** about Dallas changing their guys…It wasn’t icing!!! lol

I find it odd round 2 started already

Bahston strikes back

Exactly. We felt, and are still feeling the natural effects of employing that strategy. We make fun of it because it happened: it’s part of the reason we haven’t made the playoffs under this regime.

More on the stars for sure. For the reasons you said, and the fact Vegas just won the cup
-
Gutsy move to go to Hill for game 6. Paid off. Sick snipe by Hanafin. Eichel’s been the best skater in the series, phenomenal two way play game 7
-
Makes sense. I always go with Daigle

You’ll have to ask a hardcore fan

People don’t want to win. They want winning to emerge as a product of their carefully tailored online collection That’s the truth

I wholeheartedly disagree with your take, then obviously the fact Ehlers is only under contact for next year triggers “in a vacuum” for sabres fans because we’ve been conditioned to put zero value on the immediate. 1 year isn’t anything. It’s not one year with one potential playoffs at all, which would be one more than we’ve seen in 13 years: it has no worth. We only measure in the long term. Ehlers not being under contract beyond that is, apparently, more of an obstacle to being a good NHLer in Buffalo than a guy who may never been a good NHLer for anyone, when if it happens likely results in a player inferior to Ehlers…in a time period significantly more inefficient to Ehlers relative to our timeline we’ll happily take the risk with Savoie tho because *MYSTERY BOX* 🥳 Your take is fine: in a vacuum. In the real world, what it allows you to do is hold your head high while keeping the asset, because while in your ideal world you don’t wanna pay that much: in the real world, you don’t get Ehlers. But I’m glad you won the battle of asset value. The war of finding a way to make the playoffs nonetheless continues - - - I do enjoy me some armchair GM mode video game, tho. Collecting all these prospects and listing out all their accomplishments in Junior every year is a swell pass time
