  1. What a great decision. Individual goal songs is so weird. Score and win as a team. Plus the majority of them sounded nothing at all like goal songs. Just keep it simple, something the crowd can jam to
  2. Two 60 point d-men would be rather absurd. It’s hard to see a situation where Joki is holding back the D core imo given that context If Tage is scoring 50, there’s going to be a lot of guys with a lot of assists, etc etc If Thompson hits 50, we have 2 60 point D men, and Kulich has 20: I’ll wager we are top 3 in conference If not higher
  3. Maybe, but upon quick perusal: there wasn’t a single NHL team last year with 2 of those 3 I’d imagine any two of: 50 goal scorer, 20 goal rookie scorer, and two 60 point D men (if power gets 60 Dahlin will) would essentially guarantee not only a spot but a high seeding
  4. I don’t think so. You don’t need a 50 goal scorer and a second 60 point D man to make the playoffs
  5. In order of likelihood most likely to least, I’ll guess: 1) Levi outperforms UPL 2) Sabres make playoffs - - - 3) Kulich 20 goals 4) Power 60 points 5) Tage 50 goals
  6. lol this is awesome My Dad, the reason I’m a fan, is the world’s biggest Dylan fan
  7. This is only because you haven’t given me ample enough time to piss you off yet
  8. Hockey isn’t really about who you play, it’s when you play them. The top teams lose all the time, so I don’t really buy that excuse at all. I do however buy the idea you can’t predict the overall acumen of the team based on 2 games, therefore agree that as far as playoffs goes, the only thing that matters here is the 4 lost points
  9. FTFY, hopefully
  10. You know, I hadn’t really thought about it but…..GMGPT has a nice ring to it. That’s a good idea, they should try hiring it
  11. Sabres actually carried the balance of the play game 1 (somewhat due to score effects) but then got rolled in game 2. Tbh, for me it IS the losses and not how they happened. I’m sort of done with analyzing results beyond: “what were the results?” the team not only doesn’t deserve anything beyond that, it’s proven folly, anyways. The common denominator has been Ls regardless of what led to them, for years. It just doesn’t matter. Win or don’t. It’s year 5. Make the playoffs or don’t. Already drew a personal line
  12. lol THE Buffalo Sabres
  13. Right right that makes sense
  14. Walrus guy? lol
  15. It’s been an exceptional mlb playoffs so far
  16. Because things were extremely heated at the time. You must remember that. I believe it was the Friedman interview. Eichel going out of his way to give Kevyn Adams credit during an extremely contentious time with the team pointed the finger extremely clearly, imo, at the guy above Adams You have to think about why he would single out Adams. What he’s trying to say by not saying it.
  17. Plus, how important is a winning environment in Buffalo to the development of all the young players currently on the roster? Those players trying to get their career started and established on the proper foot? If Levi provides non-negligible value in this area, it probably makes the decision to keep him up a no-brainer I’d settle for sight, outright
  18. That’s fair. Willful prisoners of the moment. as for the bold: same bat time..
  19. Remember when Jack Eichel commended Kevyn Adams for taking a swing at 2021? There’s your smoking gun You have to read between the lines a bit, but it’s right there. He’s praising the GM and the most telling aspect was that he chose to do so. What does that create a contrast between? Weird, I used the term before I read your post. Great minds
  20. It’s a good post. I just despise the incorporated logic of choice
  21. Ya, unless Levi would still be readily available for NHL starts and I’m not sure that’s feasible - I’ve just heard people hint at him going to and fro from Rochester. You are right about the most teams thing. I think much of the angst is driven by how bad SandStorm seems to be. As mentioned, I’m not torpedoing Adams here until the results are bad. Presumably he could grab someone better than Storm if Levi or UPL goes down the 3 headed monster could have been an option, I guess, if they just completely parked Reimer until he was due to start. From what I’ve heard from folks like Jake Allen - it wreaks havoc on all three splitting starts but if Reimer literally wasn’t getting any and was just a failsafe, I suppose that idea could have worked. I think Brawndo comes down somewhere around there given his “better be sure” comment up thread
