I’d be pretty surprised too if we didn’t see one -

That too, and I’m tired of hijacking this thread so I’ll bow out (sorry, just trying to quote those quoting me) @SDS thanks dude -

Thanks for the follow up. Ya I’ve always questioned my pro-stance on reading down because you’ve disagreed with me in the past on it and i know you know more about the draft than me -

Ok. Maybe I’m in the wrong space if I’m annoying people by remembering past threads I could have never written for Star Wars, I retain too much continuity -

I didn’t “dig up” anything. I asked in good faith because we’ve talked about this many times. I’m sorry you don’t remember our conversations like I do? I’m legitimately interested in understanding peoples opinions. I actually commit your comments to memory because I value them honestly I candidly find it sort of telling that “remembering other people’s viewpoints that they’ve painstakingly taken the time time derail” is seen as odd behaviour -

Because I remember almost eveything I have a photographic memory Sorry, do you have an issue that I remembered it? I also remembered it because I’ve always been a big proponent of trading down and always got a lot of pushback and never any support on it -

Mentioned trading 13 actually for this reason -

Have you shifted your stance on this? I’ve always gotten a hard time for supporting this -

We’ve made 30 picks the last 3 drafts. We can’t just go up and make all the picks this year, we really can’t -

I am the “trade down makes sense” guy so, there’s that if we don’t trade one of these picks or prospects in the next couple days I’d have to say I hate it, though -
I suppose their theory would be retaining the production in the top 6 without torpedoing the way the line plays, with seems to be the consensus which how Skinner sort of takes over the shift dynamics ie, maybe Necas’ numbers look similar to Skinner there but his C and RW’s look better?

The fact of the matter is the Buffalo Sabres have averaged 76 points per season the 4 years Adams has been here. So why would they? I told you this would happen, the folly of touting purely relative improvement rather than relative to the league as a whole Frankly, one year ago: Not only did that misstep come to fruition, it was worse than I predicted by 5 points The league sees a 76 point club because we are a 76 point club. No one is going “well actually 84”. We are what Adams has amounted to so far

Right, but I’m the guy saying I didn’t want to buyout Skinner the cap shouldn’t be the concern right now. It’s verging on bizarro world laughable right now the amount of cap prioritizing we do when we don’t even have evidence we’d even use the money haha. And we have so much space. Until we make the playoffs the concern, the priority needs to be TALENT IN. As much as possible. Worry about sorting out the 4 year cap issues in 4 years focusing on the concerns of later as opposed to now IS a self fulfilling prophecy where we don’t prioritize now so don’t win now

He seemed so reluctant to finally push in on it being the team’s time to win, I wouldn’t be surprised if these deals are falling through because he takes such a hard line on value all the time and is reluctant to be flexible
-
The Sabres aren’t in a *position* to turn their noses up at new paint We need every point we can get This is basically me
-
And like I said, block away Wouldn’t want to give up father’s stuff. Father gets mad - - - I actually think Necas is pretty good and played t6 on a good team so if we couldn’t make that work on even a PLAYOFF team I think the issue lies more with the constructors isn’t everyone saying Skinner is a net negative now? Does Necas provide negative value?

For the record I think the feature is bad. But i have to play by the rules of the board. Like I said I’ve given out as many likes as anyone, but the feature only works of it’s not unbalanced. You have to use the range of them imo if at all
-
That’s not what the connotation of Flash’s post implied but whatever. I’m moving on at this point, block as necessary
-
My guy you could have responded to my post with anything. A discussion, constructive criticism…instead you quoted it to say one sentence neither here nor there re: my post about the way I slotted my lines You disagree he could be the best available or disagree he’d be better than running it back?
-
You realize I’ve given out more likes than every other poster, right? Why are you piling on? three red Xs. So scary
-
This is honestly exceptionally troubling only because we’ve been theorizing in exact words that a lot of what Adams does or pushes out there seems to be in the vein of setting up the “we tried” punchline
