I'd much rather see the Sabres get the 1st overall than TO, Deadmonton or the Coyotes. TO has been pathetic since ummmmmmmmmmmm 1967? Deadmonton should be contenders not basement dwellers. How many top picks have they had again. In defense of these two organizations, they finally seem to be headed in the right direction. Arizona took the Jets back in the 90s so fack them. I think the two last places have more or less been decided so it is between the next 4 or so to see who gets to finish 3rd last.

Good game boys, right outcome.
-
It went off of a Sabres' stick if you watch the replay....doesn't touch Petan's skate. Not many whistles. Fast game not counting the delay after the first goal.
-
Jets have won last two but haven't won 3 in a row all season. 34F for a high today. I'll be watching most of the game. 1-0 Sabres.

Matthews would be ideal. The 2 Finns and PLD also look good. We will pick Chychrun if we pick lower than 6th. Starting D men if Trouba can't go... (103) Chiarot Buff (4) Melchiori (118) Postma Stuart (0) Kichton NHL games played in brackets. Stuart and Chiarot have been our worst D men starters all year. The 2nd and 3rd pairings are scary.

We need the tank more than you guys do. Buffalo 1-0.

isn't that only 2 D men? why not opt for the 7F and 3D?

Stafford has been playing 1LW for most of the games since Little has been out..............rather see Connor get the time there. Kyle Connor scored 5 goals and I think 4 assists? this weekend in two games to go up to... 36GP 35G 34A 69Pts That is 1.92 ppg.......I can hardly wait to see this guy in a Jets uni next season. Maybe even a couple of games this year if his team loses out early but I'd rather see them go all the way. Plus, he is another player that doesn't need to be protected in the expansion draft...

You have misread it. For instance, Myers signed a deal that said beginning July1, 2016, he will have a NMC.....so did Bogo actually....they were traded before the NMC cut in so the acquiring team doesn't have to honor it and I can't think of a reason any team would. You have to be a certain age or have a certain amount of seasons before you are eligible for a NTC or a NMC... The SPC of any Player who is a Group 3 Unrestricted Free Agent under Article 10.1(a) may contain a no-Trade or a no-move clause. SPCs containing a no-Trade or a no-move clause may be entered into prior to the time that the Player is a Group 3 Unrestricted Free Agent so long as the SPC containing the no-Trade or no-move clause extends through and does not become effective until the time that the Player qualifies for Group 3 Unrestricted Free Agency. 10.1 Unrestricted Free Agents . (a)Group 3 Players and Free Agents. (i) Any Player who either has seven (7) Accrued Seasons or is 27 years of age or older as of June 30 of the end of a League Year, shall, if his most recent SPC has expired, with such expiry occurring either as of June 30 of such League Year or June 30 of any prior League Year, become an Unrestricted Free Agent. Such Player shall be completely free to negotiate and sign an SPC with any Club, and any Club shall be completely free to negotiate and sign an SPC with such Player, without penalty or restriction, or being subject to any Right of First Refusal, Draft Choice Compensation or any other compensation or equalization obligation of any kind.

From the CBA... If the Player is Traded or claimed on Waivers prior to the no-Trade or no-move clause taking effect, the clause does not bind the acquiring Club. An acquiring Club may agree to continue to be bound by the no-Trade or no-move clause, which agreement shall be evidenced in writing to the Player, Central Registry and the NHLPA, in accordance with Exhibit 3 hereof. I can't think of a reason the acquiring club would honor the NTS or NMC.

I just read today that if a player is traded before his NTC or NMC kicks in, the team he is going to doesn't have to honor the clause. Why would a team honor it? I think that Myers and Bogo don't have a NMC any more. i don't like these clauses to begin with but I can see why they are there.
-
I doubt it. If I am right, the only difference between the two is if you have a NMC, you can't be sent to the minors. If you have a NTC, you can be sent to the minors.
-
My question is, if you can only protect 3 D men, what happens if you have more than 3 d men with NMC and/or NTC clauses. The Jets will have Buff, Enstrom, Myers and Stuart with one of those clauses. Also, if I am Chevy and it benefits the team, Trouba is signed to a NTC before the expansion draft as well. There is going to be a lot of arguing with PA before this is settled. I say move Phoenix to Las Vegas. Is it worth 16 million dollars to lose a valuable asset and water down the talent in the league. Move the Coyotes to Las Vegas.

He signs this now and gets the signing bonus and a few large paydays before summer All teams use this to get them to sign.

Group 2 Players and Free Agents. (i) (A) Any Player who meets the qualifications set forth in the following chart and: (1) is not a Group 1 Player or a Group 4 Player, and (2) is not an Unrestricted Free Agent, shall be deemed to be a "Group 2 Player" and shall, at the expiration of his SPC, become a Restricted Free Agent. Any such Player shall be completely free to negotiate and sign an SPC with any Club, and any Club shall be completely free to negotiate and sign an SPC with any such Player, subject to the provisions set forth in this Section. As used in this Section 10.2, "age," including "First SPC Signing Age" means a Player's age on September 15 of the calendar year in which he signs an SPC regardless of his actual age on the date he signs such SPC. First SPC Signing Age Eligible for Group 2 Free Agency 18 - 21......3 years professional experience 22 - 23......2 years professional experience 24 or older.........1 year professional experience For the purposes of this Section 10.2(a), a Player aged 18 or 19 earns a year of professional experience by playing ten (10) or more NHL Games in a given NHL Season, and a Player aged 20 or older (or who turns 20 between September 16 and December 31 of the year in which he signs his first SPC) earns a year of professional experience by playing ten (10) or more Professional Games under an SPC in a given League Year. If I'm not mistaken, he is considered 24 years old because he will be by Sept. 1 ( I think ) and needs 1 year before he is an RFA.

Updated Evander Kane Cleared in Sex Offense Investigation
Ducky replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Good to hear. Sports figures have to be careful. There are a lot of chicks out there that would do just about anything for the chance to sue someone with lots of cash. -
Yes, Roslovic is playing there. Slowed down somewhat as he started the year off really strong...... I think what happened was a bunch of things besides the team simply not being good enough to compete in their division. Very poor goaltending, schedule, lots of players under-performing (biggest reason) and bringing in a lot of youngsters (not re-signing people like Stempniak and Tlusty). It should be the same thing next year as I expect to see 2-4 rookies on the team again.....Connor, Lemieux, Petan and Morrissey and even Lipon all will be looked at very hard during TC to see if they should stay with the big team or not. I think Hellebuyck plays the majority of the games next year and Pavs' last year is next season so that is a good thing. I don't think we see the Jets REALLY improving until the 2017-2018 season. As far as Staf goes, he has been good for us and the top goal scorer until very recently but he is holding up the youngsters' development if he is allowed to play top 6....he is a LW on the top line right now.
