Armia scored and got his first point last night....he is playing well on the 4th line and getting about 8-9 minutes a game. No signs of inconsistency from his game yet.

He's not getting 8 years, he'll get 7 tops if Chevy re-signs him.... Armia only plays a handful of shifts tonight because of all the special teams play. Staf played well as he has all season and Myers, well, everyone says he had a great game.

I would guess that the person supplying the info works at the cop shop. I am also guessing this is not the first and it won't be the last time they sell info.

Whether Kaner is innocent or not, this will stay with him. Even if he isn't charged, people will always bring this up. Another thing, it is a black eye on hockey as a sport. Kaner has to be smarter and not let himself get into these situations. If he is innocent, it should be forgotten and never ever held against him. If he is guilty, he should be finished as a pro hockey player anywhere. Simple as that...

I'd trade Ladd yesterday but Buff needs to stay... Buff>Trouba>Myers... I'm not comfortable with Trouba-Myers being our top 2 RHD. Besides, Buff is a smart player, towards the end of his career he could probably morph over to become a really good, defensive minded shutdown D man. Montreal or someone that thinks Ladd will help would probably give a good return for him at the trade deadline. He averages about 61 points a game but he is asking for 41m over 6 years ( if you wanna believe rumors ). Too much. I'd wrap him and Myers up for Hamonic and Okposo if I were GM. Then, I would give Okposo that 7m per year and convert Ehlers over to the LW to fill the void. We are 8 points out of a playoff spot and play that team 3 times in January but we also play the last 21 games in 40 days so I honestly don't think we will be in the playoffs this year. Brighter days are ahead with the young guys coming up so we have to be patient. This is not a league you can build a contender in, with what was left in the cupboards when this team moved, in 5 years. I forgot, I'd give Buff a 5 year contract worth 40m. 9 8.5 8 7.5 7 If he insists on 6 years, 42m. 8 7.5 7 7 6.5 6

It would take a huge turnaround for us to make the playoffs this year.... If we aren't go ing to make them, I hope we finish dead last and are in on the Mathews sweepstake.

I think there is some worry among the fans here because he played poorly after that trade. Word is he was playing well for the Moose before being called up but they are sucking big time on the farm this year. I've only watched him with the Moose once this year and I thought he played okay....didn't hurt himself or stand out in a negative way. I'd like to see what he could do with some O oriented line mates but I am impatient.

If you want to complain about the schedule, how about this... The Jets' play 16 games in March... The last 21 games of the season are played in 40 days. Don't get me going on the back to backs...

Armia sure didn't look out of place. Played strong on the boards winning some battles and had some shots and hits. He has a good stick. I am sure he will start next game as well. Looks to me like he could put on 15-20 lbs. Lanky looking. Myers played a smarter game tonight. It's starting to look like Hellebuyck is a keeper. Really good position and makes the big saves look easy.

Maybe Kaner was in a hurry and had a meeting? Maybe he is a dick? Nobody knows....he did sign it didn't he? Can't please everyone every time. I'm sure Kaner went with the team to children's hospitals and stuff like that and it was reported but fans only remember the tweets with money on his back or stacks in his hands. That's "fans" for you. There was no forward to back up Myers and he knew this....only one able to get back was Enstrom and it was a 2 on 1.....3rd fricken period in a tied game!!!! I like the amount of O he generates from the back end but would rather have a bit less and a bit m ore D.....or a real shutdown D like Hamonic.

So, Armia got sent back down and has played 2 or 3 games with the Moose without getting a minute of ice time with the Jets...now, they have demoted Lowry to the Moose and need to call so me one up and so me people think it will be Armia. The player called up will, in all likelihood, play. Myers pinched in the 3rd of a tie game last night (Tuesday) and cost us the winning goal....I was swearing at him before the Blues made our zone. It would be nice to have Hamonic playing for the Jets. Our RHD are all to O oriented although Buff is better at D than most people give him credit for. Staf has been playing well all year, especially since moving up to the 2nd line with Scheifele and Perreault. He is on pace for 45 points but I am guessing he will get about 38-40. That line has been our best for the last 10 or so games. Roslovic is playing really well and many hockey analysts are wondering why he wasn't invited to to the USA Junior camp. He plays for the U of Miami in Ohio and has 16 points in 16 games. Last year he played on a line with Mathew Tkachuk and Auston Matthews. Lemieux has been traded to Windsor and I really don't see him much higher than a good 4th line winger that can fill in in a pinch on the 3rd line. He'd have to improve his skating ti move higher up the lines though. He has good hands from what I have seen and plays a real get under your skin kind of role. He'll probably play in the AHL for a year or two before moving up. I'm not even sure why but I don't like him....it's not the color of his hair either....

That's what we need is ANOTHER RHD. He is a good skater and punishing hitter....the O side of his game hasn't materialized as expected so shouldn't be counted on for a lot of point generation. He's big and has a good shot but takes some dumb, inopportune penalties. He played well on the PK. He can handle a lot of ice time. He was getting better defensively under Maurice but wasn't under Noel's system. A solid aggressive 2nd pairing D man. Has to limit his injuries as he is making top dollar and only plays 3/4 of the games and I would say that is his biggest con, too many missed games.

.937 is nothing to sneeze at.

Then, all of a sudden, all the players involved in the trade are playing well and everyone is happy....just in time for Christmas. Everyone except Armia.....he was called up and hasn't seen a minute of ice time.....why do teams do that? Let him get top line minutes on the Moose if you aren't going to play himm. It's not llke your farm team is half way across the continent....bewildering.

I'm hoping Hamonic... if we don't re-sign Buff, I'd keep Myers and be out of the Hamonic trade, though. He creates a lot of offense from the back end.

Better to have someone regular to play beside and get used to, ESPECIALLY when he hasn't played in so long. Kaner and ROR and who else? Myers played a fairly strong game last night and has picked up his game over the last 4 or 5 somewhat. I'd still trade him for Hamonic and can't believe he isn't a Jet yet. Hamonic for Myers and a 3rd or Myers and Ladd for Hamonic and Okposo.

Good to see Kaner and Bogo doing well to night... Who is Bogo paired with and is Kaner playing with Eichel? Kaner seeing some serious ice time.

In my opinion, Kaner should be played with the best passing center on the team.

Ya, Hellebuck has looked strong against opponents he has faced so far but they weren't playing NHL hockey. If Hutch re-signs for 2 years at 1m per, I would re-sign him. I am really interested in seeing what Comrie can do with the extra ice time in the A...

I see Hutchinson as an above average backup and not much else. It's a great chance for him, though. Hellebuyck is supposed to be the goalie of the future and has a great resume but, how many goalies have failed in the NHL that had great junior/international resumes? Comrie on the Moose has played well and backed up Fucale at the worlds last year but is very young and inexperienced...with Helle getting called up, he has a great chance to see a lot of minutes. We also have Jamie Phillips that is playing for Michigan tech. I see the goaltending falling apart and the Jets losing too many games to catch up to division rivals and make the playoffs. But what do I know?

I see Kane and Bogo played over 21 minutes....how'd they play? Rumors still abound about Hamonic to the Jets and some people have included Myers' name in the discussion. Trouba was asked for but the Jets said no. I'd trade Myers straight up for Hamonic but I'm not sure how much extra I would give. If he were a LHD, I'd be offering Myers and a 2nd rounder but he is a RHD so I wouldn't add too much at all. The Isles are the ones needing to make a trade. Armia didn't dress for the loss last night and I didn't get to see the game. Why bring him up if you aren't going to play him? A 3 game road trip coming up and he comes in as the 13th player but still....give him a look-see at least. How much are we going to miss Peluso's 5 minutes of ice time each game? I think if Lemieux ever makes the 3rd line, we should be glad. He should be a really good energy, shift disturber type of 4th liner with Copp and Lipon? I see Kasdorf has a respectable .927 sv%.

Old school hockey player that plays hurt and with pain and WANTS to play. Evander Kane (knee) is ahead of schedule and is hoping to return this week. "For me, they gave me a set schedule of 4-6 weeks, standard schedule. In my mind I'm thinking anywhere from 2 to 3 half at the most," Kane said with a laugh. "Obviously I'm not going to come back in two weeks but just that type of mindset helped me. It keeps you positive." He skated with the team Tuesday for the first time since suffering an MCL injury. Kane has been sidelined since Oct. 24 due to the ailment.

Snow wants a comparable RHD in return. Buff isn't signed and trouba isn't going anywhere; thus, Myers makes sense. The Jets need an honest shutdown RHD and don't have one. Hamonic would fill that spot. Great to hear Bogo and Kaner are ready to play for you guys...taking the Blues to a SO should give confidence and we need you guys to stomp the Stars.

Staf played with Scheif and Perrault. A couple of guys with more games under their belt than Lowry and Burmistrov. On a side note, the local forums and papers want Chevy to bring in Hamonic....everyone says Myers for Hamonic, I say DO IT! Add Postma or a 4th even.
