  1. 19 year old kid playing in the NHL, seems like an honest answer. To think he doesn't have things to work on is silly.
  2. Been there, done that We've, good luck congrats. Also I just noticed I passed my 1 year anniversary on the site. Wooooohooooo, only received 1 warning from Nfreeman for using the word "infatuation", I'm feeling blessed!!!!!!! I have to admit that I still feel like a newbie because there are a couple of guys that I can't yet decide if they are serious or just that sarcastic. Having said that, I've enjoyed the discourse Sabre fans.
  3. Agree wholeheartedly with this and playing basically 6 rookies to boot. A typical very young team making mindless errors one minute and looking awesome the next. As for the bolded.... Don't do it brother, Don't do it. I don't understand the constant scrutiny of Bogosian and Kane. Everything they do that's not perfect gets hammered over and over. Just the added toughness these 2 bring to the table for this team makes that trade necessary as time moves along. Other observations: Sabres are now 12-9-5 in the 2nd half of this season. I'm starting to worry about Girgensons, of all the talk about Moulson's struggles, he deserves to be on the what's wrong with him list. Unless we get lucky or start up another mini tank, a top 5 pick may not be in the cards this upcoming draft. Up to 8th in the bottom seed and with the lowest goal differential of that group, it may not be a sure thing to getting someone that can help immediately in the draft this year. I kept going back and forth between the Toronto feed and the MSG feed. A much better broadcast on the TSN side and I hate Toronto. They were both critical and complementary of the Sabres at the appropriate times. Described the action in much better detail also. One comment that stood out during the game was how much better would we be if we had Ekblad and McDavid instead of our 2 guys. No disparaging remarks on it but brought out the luck involved in the draft process. Spoke of the could have been top pairing of Risto and Ekblad together. An interesting take that you'll never get on MSG/Sabre broadcast.
  4. We've won 2 SOs and both against TO with Kane getting the tying goal in each game, 2 point nights for Kane and Reinhart with an asterisk 3 for Sam
  5. Great hustle goal by Sam and Kane, Evander made them rush Sam with the miscue and awesome touch pass
  6. I think its more of he's not playing well
  7. Yeah Blysma is telling the guys to make all those mistakes ????
  8. Larsson did a terrible job by not clearing the puck, the team is making too many rookie errors today
  9. Pyshk and Colaiacovo looked pathetic on that rush
  10. Wow you just brought back some memories of the Buffalo Bisons and if I remember right I was still in Grammar School when I saw my first live NHL playoff game on tv and if I'm not mistaken Bill Mazer who was a Buffalo radio and tv sportscaster at the time did the game. I don't think we had a color tv as of yet also, so imagine that. In fact that game is probably close to its 50 years anniversary!!!!!!! Did WildCard finally get a girlfriend??? Is that why he hasn't done the past couple of GDTs???
  11. Carrot cake would be my 2nd choice but MY Winner would be a NY style CheeseCake. No killing it with fruit but just plain ol' cheesecake.
  12. Right now we are tied for 23rd in points in the league and are the only team besides CBJ and Edmonton that doesn't look like they are in complete tank mode. With that in mind getting the 8th pick or worse (with our drafting luck) gets us a good player but not necessarily someone who can help us this year. My hope for lines are: A Fin--ROR--Reinhart UFA--Eichel--Bailey Kane--Girgensons--Ennis Foligno--Larsson--Fasching UFA--Risto McCabe--Bogosian Gorges--Pysyk Lehner Johnson (1 more year)
  13. In the context of the Moulson talks.... Here are some tweets that mentioned what he said in the WGR interview. (I wish I knew how to copy and paste the entire tweet) MURRAY: "Moulson is taking this serious, he doesn't want to go away. I'll say slumping for sure. The long term goal is to have him better." Murray has talked to Moulson, his agent and trainers. Moulson is 100% "in" now Murray's candor on Moulson is refreshing. The game has changed. Training methods have changed. Sounds like Moulson has been told to change
  14. Has the past 7 years of cheering for the Sabres caused you to be depressed :(, panic attacks , obsessive compulsive disorders :wallbash:, writing on topics that your least favorite Sabres just plain suck or you have the need to post in the Presidential Politics thread??? May I recommend a product that may have plenty of side effects but is known to work...... Prozac. Please take 2 tablets before posting so we can possibly have an upbeat SabreSpace again. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
  15. They're long gone on June 26th 2016. Draft is the 24th and 25th.
  16. Bogosian haters gotta Bogosian hate
  17. Good post, I agree with you on just about everything but bad coaching, I think with all the young guys and the never having a full squad has hurt him but as an example these past 3 games we never gave in. I think the guys are slowly but surely figuring out his gameplan and they are playing hard for him. I didn't see any quit whatsoever this entire season. Do all the guys fit in his system is up for debate but I think they've bought in. I'm not fully in about us being a playoff team again next year because again we are going to be a young, inexperienced team with the possible additions of Bailey, Fasching and 1st rounder. It is all going to be on the additions made by GMTM in free agency and trades. I'm making a good guess we aren't going to use 25-33% of those draft choices. It won't be necessarily the big names we go after but the RFA's that other teams may not be able to afford with cap issues.
  18. Don't get sucked in, he's a Bogosian troll....
  19. Ummmm, you made the Ennis comparison, I just pointed out he's not Ennis.
  20. It is not good to get on nfreeman's bad side..... LOL
  21. 6'0, over 210lbs, not Ennis, he has flaws but he's not Ennis small, we also have a major NEED for SPEED Hockey News scouting report Assets: Is one of the fastest players in the game, and he uses his wheels to create plenty of havoc when he's on the ice. Also displays sound two-way instincts. Can play either wing position effectively. Boasts sound offensive ability. Flaws: Could stand to shoot the puck more often, since he is not a consistent goal-scoring threat. Needs to continue proving he can handle the constant pounding and taxing schedule in the NHL. Career Speedy, quality two-way winger.
