  1. He's gots good English? That's goods to know. I'm gonna post more, I think I could drive crazy without trying.?.
  2. I had to *Google*. Lord of the Rings character. What a let down. That I was going to learn a new *cool* word.
  3. Are they looking for vet depth in Rochester? Do they want to send him down in hopes he burns it up and gets called up to the big club *fair-n-square* in the hopes of igniting a fire under a few others in Rochester? A little Rochester insight would help.
  4. And hopefully another in the very near future.
  5. That sounds the most logical Dark. Who would want a player destined for a long term (month?) rehab assignment that is a 3/4 line depth guy with a two year contract? I would say it's a calculated gamble with low odds of losing him. Also sounds as if Botts is a bit of a gambler.
  6. My simplistic few of any coach. They're stage coach drivers, if you don't have the horses that can run, you're left in the dust. He's shuffled lines and pairings, some of his horses need a little more seasoning and others need to be set out to pasture.
  7. I think he was unhappy with the way the whole thing played out. The trade with a no trade clause. *Demoted* to the line he was on. His stats as a Sabre. He wanted a change of scenery and money wasn't making him happy (thinking he would get similar on the open market anyway) so he took a chance and has hit the free market. He is now finding out his services will be had for a lot less on the few teams that he is willing to play, and that even fewer teams even want him. I wish him the best, but I believe this is more ego or a form of *make the ego happy* than for any other reason. If he winds up somewhere in the world playing for the love of the game for a lot less and is very happy, I will greatly admire him for that. I doubt this happens.
  8. *Rick looks forward to being back in the booth after the break* Sounds like what ever it was has been dealt with and in a few days he'll be back. Wonderful!
  9. There is only one person in the world I know of that would be worse than Rob at doing the PBP, me! I cast no stones in my glass house. But I agree he should not be doing the PBP, and I do like him as a color guy.
  10. Please don't lock it. It's not that bad. Things will happen over the coming days and weeks to update this thread. It's worth leaving open.
  11. I'm not a Sheary fan and would rather see Erod there. I think that 4th line would be a treat to watch and a beech nut to play against.
  12. The dance type? I here you can find them in supermarkets. Just keep looking. ?
  13. We're not. I'm just hoping JBots doesn't need this much luck from the hockey gods to win(?) any more trades.
  14. It was a bad trade and is still a bad trade with the net results of today was my only point of all this. Is it 2019 pick no matter what? or Is it conditional?
  15. I don't doubt this, but, I believe the majority of our protentional centers that we will be looking at are other teams cap dumps. We just aren't going to see anything that is much better than Berglund, so we are not wining on the trade to ST. Louis any more today than we where 4 months ago is my only point.
  16. How do you get a 2c center in the short term? We'll be doing some trading and getting what we hope are good contracts. What are we trading?
  17. So what I'm hearing is we dumped ROR to St. Louis for nothing in return except a pair of relatively cheap rentals and a first round pick at this point , so we won?
  18. But how much will it cost and where will we find our 2C-3C that we have a void from this? We will be rolling the dice again with another contract and at least 6m on the line.
  19. There is where I stand as well. But, the net result of the ROR trade for Buffalo is even worse now if we thought we where getting an NHL 2c and we have absolutely nothing.
  20. A snippet from the BN article... A veteran on a young team, Berglund said that his mindset has changed over time from worrying about individual stats to team success and imparting that wisdom on his teammates. “I think it’s how you play overall,” Berglund said. “The 200-foot game is very important to get team success. That’s something that I take pride in, and if you keep doing that right, other guys will get their chances to score goals and in the end you’ll find your way there, too.” His heart was in the right place in late November early December. Something has gone very wrong quickly.
  21. He comes from a land where that look never goes out of style. He is Barry Melrose's neighbor.
  22. If any one would have told me back on October 14th that the Sabres would face the two top teams considered SC contenders 5 days apart at the end of November with little to no rest for them and come out with over time losses, and that they looked good and could have won each of those games, I would have been very happy to know that then. I'm still very happy. Heart breaking loss, yes. Yet, still a really fun team to watch. Good hockey is what we are getting as fans, I'm going to enjoy it even if it is a loss after the last 7 years.
  23. The *The Bishop's Wife* was on tonight. One of my all time favorites. All most missed it. Got enough of it to be happy. It's always the simple things in life that makes us the happiest.
  24. It's good to have fun in shorts out side before the game. If you end up in jail I'll remember you. Good to have people that I can tell my wife *see, you could have married someone like him*.?
  25. Actually, yes I have. Been to both in their *hay* day. I didn't know you switched towns on me. The PI was the best spot to go in the summer of any beach bar I've been to in the world. Miss that place.
