Savoie with 2 assists in the third to keep Moose Jaw’s season going. 5-3 win. The first assist was a shorthanded rush where he drew 2 defenders to him and the trailer banged one home. He also got hurt on his first shift in this game, going hard into the boards after losing his balance.

3C - What is best course going forward?
French Collection replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Right on the money. If he plays like he can handle 3C then you have two guys capable of a 3C role. When injuries happen, one can move to 2C and 3C is well taken care of. If the cap becomes an issue then the more expensive guy gets moved out. -
He actually outperformed my expectations but I don’t want him at $1.9M. Johnson would be a better option if they want to sign a 3C and some grit.

I would love Gourde, Tanev and Borgen but I doubt Joki, Rosen and a 3rd get that done. Seattle could push for Savoie and a better pick. I just had a peek at Cap Friendly, Gourde and Tanev have NTCs.

Tough call. You don’t want him turning into the D version of Brandon Hagel but you are right about his progression. His best offensive season was his pre draft year. There was also some issue that caused him to leave Kamloops, which seems like a good organization. The only way I would sign him is if he has improved defensively, because his scoring has dropped. If Johnson is on Buffalo’s top 7 then there could be a spot for him in Rochester. I would lean no from what I know now. Strbak and McCarthy are in the pipeline too.

Feels like next goal wins.

Moose Jaw loses 5-4 to London. Warriors(Savoie) and Drummondville(Komarov) are both 0-2 so tomorrow’s game decides who will move on. London and Saginaw, both 2-0, face off Wednesday to decide who finishes first and gets a bye to the final.

They need cap space so you never know how cheaply he can be had.

I just finished looking at 8 of some draft lists that are often looked at. Some of these are from April so there will be some tweaks to most of them. I ranked the players by their average rank for the 8 lists, similar to what Elite Prospects does in their consolidated list. I also included the range they were in for the 8 lists. I only went to 20 because it really gets muddled after that and the Sabres shouldn’t be reaching beyond this group. 1 M.Celebrini 1 1 2 I.Demidov 2-3 2.25 3 A.Levshunov 2-9 4.25 4 C.Lindstrom 2-11 6.25 5 B.Catton 3-12 7.13 6 S.Dickinson 4-10 7.13 7 A. Silyalev 3-13 7.25 8 Z.Buium 5-10 7.25 9 Z.Parekh 6-17 9 10 C.Eiserman 5-16 11.63 11 T.Iginla 9-23 11.63 12 C.Yakemchuk 5-25 12.25 13 K.Helenius 4-19 12.5 14 L.Greentree 9-19 13.75 15 M. Brandsegg-Nygard 7-21 14.38 16 T.Connelly 12-23 17.5 17 B.Sennecke 13-27 18.13 18 A.Jiricek 12-25 18.63 19 I.Chenyshov 14-24 18.88 20 M.Hage 17-29 20.88

Komarov with PP assists yesterday but Drummondville lose to Saginaw 4-3. They are 0-2 so their game vs Moose Jaw could determine who gets into the playoffs. Moose Jaw 0-1 face London today.

2-1 Switzerland after 2.

Nailed it.

ROR made the Avs as an 18 year old after being drafted 33rd. Not sure how many more have done it.
-
Canada down 2-0 after the first, two power play goals. Swiss are all in blocking shots and their fans are loud. Canada will have to get creative.

Czechs book their ticket to the gold medal game with a convincing victory over Sweden.

VO gets some PP time and hits a post. Czechia scores on a breakaway as the PP ends to make this 6-3.
