Just saying’ that I didn’t like Vegas to begin with and will not cheer for them to succeed. I’m not a Jack hater, he just never fueled my Sabres fire. When his contract is up and he signs with Boston his fans will get to see him more often.

He has good size as well but the knock on him last year was his skating. That can be worked on. He has a shot at getting a look for the AHL and take it from there. His numbers are slightly better than last year. He also plays with some of the best players in the Q, Bourque and Bourgault. They both made Team Canada so I would say he benefits from playing with them. He may be a good complimentary player. You are right that he should be getting more attention. The Q is not as highly regarded by most hockey people, unfortunately.

I doubt anyone has his rights. He is 28. He played in North America one year, in the AHL. He had a good showing for starting out as their third string guy.

August will be the 2022 Championship while December will be the 2023 Championship. Most teams turn over about 80% of their teams year to year as it is a 19 year old tournament. I don’t mind this as it gives kids a once in a lifetime experience. This is the highlight of a few hockey careers.

Stay healthy for the rest of the season Mitts. This would provide all with a look at what he can bring next season. He can be a scoring threat that other teams will have to account for, instead of let those JAGs handle it all they want. He is probably liking Okposo on his wing as they have a Minnesota background.

I watched my son’s team play a similar game to what the Sabres did. It was a winnable game, they had no jump and could barely make a play. There was an OHL GM at the game, some junior scouts and the kids put up a stinker.

Bottom line, I would take a 7th round pick for Butcher.

I am pulling for any team that plays Vegas, because of the draft pick. Jack is nowhere near the top of my favourite Sabres so I don’t care much except I want Tuch, Krebs to outscore him every year. One thing that bugs me is by the time the Sabres are a contender the NHL will probably have clamped down on the LTIR rules. They will need a few million in cap space to trade for UFA Reinhart at the deadline.

Dylan is not a heavyweight but he would have jumped on Lucic when Miller got mugged. We need some jam.

Wow, that was a nail biter. Rybar was perfect in the shootout. The announcers said he was their number 3 goalie at the start.

USA & Slovakia game now into shootout. Quite the way to decide a single knockout game. Rybar and Mann were both solid in net.

Good win, the aisles were gassed for the last 10 minutes and they took advantage. Great building block win for the young guys. Cozens with 3 apples. Pysyk was solid all game. Tuch is better than I thought he could be. Krebs is nifty, I still see some Gilmour minus the stick work. I can’t believe DG kept putting out Eakin vs Barzal. He also put out Eakin’s line for an offensive zone draw when the game was tied. I am trying not to be negative after a win but Eakin played too much. Bjork does nothing. Quinn and Peterka would bump up the talent level by a huge amount. Beat the Sens and have a three win streak boys!
