I usually do not gamble but for the heck of it I am putting some money on the Sabres tonight. Not enough to drain Vegas if I win but it will keep me more interested.

If the Sabres get something else from Vegas for just taking on some cap, that will be a bonus from the Eichel deal in a roundabout way. The gift that keeps on giving.

I have been on the Levi train since the Reinhart trade. I don’t want to have sky high expectations but I think he will be a Buffalo Sabres goalie in the near future. This Olympics will be interesting to watch. He will be going against some pros for the first time. None of these guys are NHL calibre but there are many experienced pros. Two lines from the article that I love are, he’s been an underdog his whole life and that he’s the best teammate in the dressing room. Luongo fought to draft him and Montreal area NHLers that played summer hockey with him rave about his skill. Go Levi and Team Canada.

Transfer switch. Usually they are manually operated and you fire up the generator and plug it in. Automatic systems are expensive but they turn on immediately when supply is lost. The main brand in Ontario is called Generac and they can run on Propane, diesel, gas or natural gas.

With any generator setup, please remember to have a proper installation done according to the electrical code of your region. This protects you insurance wise in the event of a problem and protects the powerline workers from unwanted back feed. I know guys that have been seriously injured by improper generator installations.

Today Zegras is the sexier pick, with more offense and highlight reel material. Zegras did best him head to head in the Gold medal game of the WJHC. As long as Cozens continues to develop the right way his numbers will be fine. Tough to measure things like leadership, physicality and others could make this a wash. Some day Dylan will ride in on his white horse and deliver some playoff magic. Zegras’ Spicoli vibe is perfect for California.

It is still early in these 3 goalies’ careers that we don’t know which will be the best. If they all become 1A or 1B calibre goalies then that is a good problem and one can become a tradable asset.

Just when you think it can’t get worse. This is crazy. Anderson and Tokarski may be able to go but are probably susceptible to another injury from not being in game shape or a lack of real practice. I hope there is an EBUG in the building, he may make his NHL debut.

Jankowski for Eakin is another move I would make.

I am definitely wanting them to use this space. If they move out Miller, Butcher, Hinestroza or others, they will probably need to take on salary to stay above the cap floor. The Giroux move is a great example. The Sabres retain a million as a third party team allowing the Avs to get an impact player. This could be worth a third round pick. The Sabres could add a 2nd to the Avs and get a prospect like Barron back instead of the 3rd. He was a 2020 1st rounder, RHD.

I think there is probably a verbal agreement of a game or two and see who takes the net from there.

Sabres could sweeten the deal to increase the return. Miller with his half salary retained for example.

Friedman’s 32 Thoughts mention that Colorado has interest in Claude Giroux but need a third team to make the $$ work. This is what I’m thinking KA needs to do with the space. Short term spending of TP’s money to get some assets. Justin Barron is a RHD prospect for them in the AHL.

I just have a sense of impeding doom when he is between the pipes. I don’t get that with Toker or Houser. His teammates probably don’t have a warm and fuzzy feeling either.

There are three guys on that team considered NHL prospects and the Sabres have two of them.

This lineup has a chance to do some damage. I want to see some guys mesh and make some plays. Goaltending is the only thing that keeps me from booking the W.
