  1. That's true lol We could literally leave everyone but: Eichel, Reinhart, O'Reilly, Rodrigues, Ristolainen and Scandella available.
  2. Perfectly said. We really do need a like button for posts. Anything Hamilton and Harrington write is complete conjecture and mindless drivel. The only thing worse than the writing, is Harrington's pointless monotone questions that set up for passive aggressive white noise. I think if we could almost trade anything it would be these clowns for a case of rotten imported tomatoes.
  3. Kane does remind you of the me first genre of athlete with his shoot first mentality. However, you can always handle one in a crowd. He did nothing this season that warranted him being a misfit. He say the "writing in the sand", and acted like a true professional. He did a lot of quality work in the community and while he didn't have the greatest earliest start to his Sabre career, he made them have some bite. We need the bite, without the glamour attitude. For all his dings and dents, I was a Kane fan as a Vancouver Giant, as an Atlanta Thrasher, as a Winnipeg Jet and finally a Buffalo Sabre. I love the way he plays the game on both sides. So here's a glass raised to you Evander. Rock the west coast and enjoy some playoff sun. The Sabres need to get back to reality and remember there is gravity. Develop a team first approach and work hard. Botterill still is the right man for the job. One diva out, a team in. Following this season we can purge: Gorges, Nolan (DO NOT RE-SIGN), and the other one year signings. Following the 18-19 season, we lose Moulson and Pominville's cap, which will be the first plucking of strings to get the situation back under par.
  4. Drafting a RB in the 5th round is better than Ivory or Tolbert. #Truth Allen is perfect for the Bungaloo Browns then. They're going to botch the 1st pick up again.
  5. Bogosian, has necrotic value. He has no chance of netting a pure upgrade with even Nylander. I don't see the value in the Rangers deal. I'd rather keep O'Reilly over that. The Okposo deal makes no sense for Arizona, given that while Domi may be traded at the draft, I'm not sure Okposo can net that return. The Penguins deal makes "some" sense, however I'm not sure you can get Rust included in that deal. I'm good with getting rid of Larsson, he's proven to be less the player than I personally thought he was.
  6. I think it also just goes to show that they're taking the blue collar mentality to heart. There are chances for guys finally, Evan Rodrigues is flourishing. He's easily twice the player Larsson is. How many times have I seen Larsson fall down in the offensive zone. Continue to carve up the roster. He's finally been given a chance, and I really hope he takes the last 18 games to prove that he belongs here in the top 6. Same goes for Nelson who is showing more than I saw at any other time in his Sabres career. I've been screaming for him to be waived for months. He's worse than Tennyson. He's easily pushed himself up past Larsson, Girgensons, and most of the other bottom six. I think he's easily the 5th (Eichel, O'Reilly, Okposo, Reinhart) best forward on the roster at the moment. Which isn't saying much. He's showing that he can play possession hockey and make good decisions. His shot is underrated as well.
  7. This is what I feel. JT Miller is such a tantalizing player. If we were anywhere close to the playoffs he'd be someone I'd want to invest in.
  8. As if the Sharks are lottery bound. We got a 1st, an asset (O'Regan) and a conditional asset (4th).
  9. O'Regan has looked very competent in the AHL, and skates fairly well. He was one of the talents on the slim side that I liked. The non Meier youth.
  10. I will believe it when McKenzie says something.
  11. They don't have one this year (traded for Brassard) and it needs to be in 2018 for a first. You know Barzal is a NY Islander and all but untouchable.
  12. That's interesting for sure. I'd rather get Lindbolm than Ratcliffe.
  13. 1st, prospect, contract.
  14. Bouma could help out the bottom six and allow the Sabres to send down some of the youth to push for the Calder Cup with Rochester. Also, Oduya could do some of the same. Both are on one year deals.
  15. Drive it up, up, up! You're on FIRE!!! Kane has been a pleasure to watch on the ice, even with all his pock marks he's been a solid on ice contributor (when healthy). Go get em Evander!
  16. This is correct, but once Nash drifts out of the list, then you have Kane suitors stepping up. Still plenty of time to get a solid return.
  17. O'Regan, Ferraro, 2nd is fine by me.
  18. Randall, this is a piece that could be published. It was amazing. Spot on and precise! Thank you.
  19. If he stayed healthy, perhaps that might be the problem. Has he played a full 82 games yet for the Sabres over the two plus seasons at this point.
  20. Wilson screams as a guy that is part of the culture shift that was needed. This was a sneaky good move from Botterill and has been playing dividends. He's someone who scores in small bunches works with his line mates and skates well. With Rodrigues and potentially Girgensons you can have a pesky line that works really well together. Ideally I'd like to keep all three. Now, if we get an offer that is legitimate on improvement long term, you listen. Nelson has a nice inlet pass and has shown poise. While I've liked what I've seen, I still feel that there's more here needed for JAG.
  21. It really is starting to feel like the Sabres are getting past over for less likely costing talent by teams that fit our likely landing spots for talent. Now this could just be smoke before the fire. Evander Kane will still be traded. It's the other lesser talents I'm starting to think we're stuck with. I'm going to take w/e I can get and move on. It's time to carve this team up.
  22. Raanta will require more than 2M per season to sign him. He's having a sneaky strong season for the worst team in the NHL. He's going to easily top Hutton in that price range. I personally view it as: Raanta, Grubauer, Mrazek, Kuemper, Hutton, Dell, etc. I'm not all that interested in Hutton (33) and Dell (29) as they are up their in age with no predictability in starting. Now if this is a job to push Ullmark for a back up spot, then Dell / Kuemper make the most sense. Raanta has earned the right to be called a #1 goalie, as has Mrazek to an extent.
  23. This Mrazek deal is definitely another slap at our group. Lehner had to disappoint Sabres fans again, getting injured. #Karmaisa*****
  24. For me, I'm more interested in Phillippe Myers and Oskar Lindblom to name a few. Frost is definitely high on my list, but I'm not as big a fan of Sanheim as others.
  25. Honestly, I disagree. I truly believe this was about cap control if anything. They had Phaneuf of him ;)
