  1. Cannot fault you for that one. Though their defense is pretty amazing. Blah!
  2. Also, why are two slow skaters on the PP. Pommer and Reinhart....No one to skate it properly into the zone. Ugh.
  3. Watching Nolan play reminds me of how much I'd rather see John Scott.
  4. I leave to get my wings and we're already down 1-0. Merry F'N Christmas :P
  5. I truly believe if you do right by him now so he doesn't sour on a bottom place finish and let him see that we care about his ability to win. I think it benefits. Now, you try to gauge his interest in coming back before doing so. IMO, trading him is what you need to do for the betterment of the team long term.
  6. Yes, and yes he should be traded. If they want to go all out and try to re-sign him in the offseason, maximizing his value and explaining that it's for the betterment of the team is what happened with Moulson. If Kane was going to sign an extension what makes you think he wouldn't if he spent some time in a winning environment. The team/management does right by him by trading him for a chance to make the playoffs and retain him after we get some cap off this summer.
  7. Good, the tournament got some more match up intrigue.
  8. I never believed he would make it to open market. If he did, it would be a similar situation with Stamkos. Maybe not less money per say, but that he ended up staying.
  9. I think it comes to the fact with Marchessault that they didn't really have a place for him in their top six and he's an all offense player. He's a luxury for Vegas for sure. He'll likely get locked up by them to buy up a little bit of cap. As for Smith, he never found his magic after his first good season in Florida. I think it just comes down to crunching numbers after you sign extensions with: Barkov, Trochek, Huberdeau, Matheson, in the last season as well as Bjugstad/Ekblad the season before. I'm sure they'd rather have not paid Yandle in the long thick of it.
  10. I'm sorry, but the first season of the rebuild was the most repugnant season I've ever seen. It was not even close.
  11. .....and just as we look good, we give up a really sloppy goal. Stay in the net Lehner.
  12. Girgensons with a nice feed for a change. That was his best play in 20 games?
  13. There are definitely good options in both farm systems of course. Cernak, Raddysh, Joseph, Howden, to name a few. Bellows, Aho, etc for the Isles. Well we should have just drafted Boeser. Bleh.
  14. I'd "love" this with Valimaki in the deal. The first can be 2019 for that package. Then trade Reinhart for Juolevi and a 2nd.
  15. That's where I fall. It's the problem that you create with having two players at roughly 10AAV per season. You come into issues with still having: Okposo, Moulson, Bogosian, and others on the books as well.
  16. I do, because there's no guarantee he signs an extension. You'd have to guarantee that. Secondly, one player will not fix the abundant issue at hand. This team lacks 4 quality defensemen at the moment. Trading Ristolainen, doesn't fix the problem. You're likely spending north of 9.5M, so be prepared to be even more cap riddled. Love Karlsson, but this seems silly.
  17. Andersson, Fox, Dube could all be decent returns with a 1st round pick if we're looking at CGY. There are going to be teams in need of scoring / injuries that pop up between now and March 1st.
  18. I'm ready to give someone else a chance. While he's credible enough to be average/middle of the pack. While it makes sense that he could be the goalie this team needs long term, with a retool needed. It would be more beneficial to trade him off for futures. So no, I personally do not believe he is the answer long term.
  19. 2nd round pick? An asset (one of their many goalie prospects or a forward: Laberge?)
  20. Nothing better than that. JBott keeping his play in Rochester in tact and gives Matt a chance to prove something with a new group and perhaps show that he has something left.
  21. Just 22 more open nets for Eichel to get to where he needs to be. Lulz. All in all, the first period was really sloppy. Things settled down in the second. Nice push, keep building boys.
  22. Done. As close as I could get it :P
  23. Give me Lindbolm, Sandstrom. I'd be a kid in the candy shop.
  24. So this means we can waive Jordan Nolan, STAT!
  25. A watered down beer, that some people like.
