Yeah I hear you man. During the 2014 Olympics they had the same thing going. I was watching hockey then only got a half size screen because some ###### was figure skating. I was quite upset

1) I have a wife, a daughter, and another one coming in a month(fingers crossed that it's a boy please gentlemen. Already have 5 sisters don't need another woman in my life haha) 2) I live in Canada, but I've always liked the US of A more. With the exception being in hockey of course. There's a flag hanging on my wall and I have a couple USA jerseys, which I mostly use to piss my buddy's off. 3) I've had 2 near death experiences. 1st was a psycho path attempted to kill with a 12 gauge from 10 feet away, nice try bud still kicking!! Good thing our awesome justice system gave him 2 years house arrest, it's quite peaceful that he lives within 10 mins of me. 2nd was 2 months ago, woke up at 3:30 am to my 2 storey home on fire, narrowly got myself and family out. I was released from hospital 12 hours later with some 2nd degree burns and my girls got out a month later. 4) I feel like I've been given a new lease on life, but since I've continually made the same mistakes! Funny how that works 5) My wife knows I'm one of the most loyal people in the world, your wives or friends should know the same of you! Seriously, takes some loyalty to cheer for this team right now 7) I also think 99.9% of tattoos are ridiculous(sorry if you have some). Maybe sign a veteran player or two. He doesn't need to be very skilled, necessarily, but a guy with a locker room presence. Someone to teach them work ethic and show them the ropes, pick them up when they are down from mistakes and such. Yes, we we still finish last but make as good as an environment as you can considering we will be finishing last. As far as the making space for youngsters goes, any player whom the coaches think is ready for the Nhl, bring Em I'm. As long as they're actually ready and we don't burn off the first couple years of their ETC when they're in the nhl

I'm positive Darcy was the mastermind behind it all. Slowly getting the gears in motion. It's actually pretty obvious that was his plan. The funny part is its completely legal. Unlike intentionally losing games, just ice a team that doesn't have the skill to consistently win Nhl games, while trying to properly developed prospects. Exception being Grigorenko of course. What price would you pay to have the youngest Nhl team and deepest prospect pool? If we can do it like the wings and get 20 consecutive playoff seasons, sign me up! When you have a mediocre team you can't afford to draft 12-16 overall and expect to improve enough. You can't build around free agency either as so many think. Free agency is to put your team over the top. Even if for the free agency pool is deep for a few years straight, you wouldn't be able to afford to build a team that way

I never said he played this year like he did in 2010. I used the vezina to show people like you a once world class goalie doesn't necessarily gain your team 15 pts in the standings. Understand? What I'm saying is we are the least skilled roster in the Nhl. We are all but guaranteed last place. Teams can lose their 2 best players to season ending injuries and still ice a better roster then us. Even teams intentionally tanking will still be ahead of us. We sold everyone of value. I don't think they will be a bottom 5. In my opinion, they could be 11-15th if, and only if they acquire some free agents

I don't know where to start here. I strongly disagree on so many levels except one, the Islanders will stink next year, that much is certain. Halak helping them move up that much in the standings is absolutely ridiculous. We finished last with a goalie who won a vezina! The Islanders have Many needs to address to get out of the bottom 7, halak is a step in the right direction. Mark my words: "NYI finishes in the bottom 10, I will guarantee that. I won't be surprised if they finish 5-7". Let's not forget, viznovsky is their top dman and they lost a 1st line winger. As far as the Sabres go, I don't understand how not having Ott and miller will help us not finish last, if anything it all but guaranteed we will. A few teams Might try to intentionally tank, but there is no way we don't finish last again! If you disagree go look at our roster, them look at everyone else's. It's pretty obvious we have a last place team(without selling anyone else, which we very well might do). So we have a 25% chance at McDavid(slightly higher depending on NYI) and a 100% chance at Eichel. No team can move up more then 1 pick, so if we lose the lottery we get 2nd, just like this year.

In my opinion trading assets for a rental back up goalie is not appealing to most GM's.

Usually multi billionaires, become multi billionaires by being better at making/saving money. So that does not surprise me. Another thing that doesn't surprise me is prices raising especially considering buffalo has some of the cheapest tickets in the Nhl. Does Patrick Kane have some of, if not the best hands in the nhl? I'd say yes. Has he scored some very timely goals? We all know he has. Does all of that plus his accomplishments make him the best player in the world? No, absolutely not. He's not even the best player on his team. Now when I say best player, I mean the player who gives his team the best chance to win every single night. Look at the stats, or watch a game and you'll see toews is a much more responsible, 2 way, give it all you got player. I won't even bother getting into crosby or anyone else. Kane is not the best player in the world by any means. Even if he does have the best hands
