I don't know what happened to him and even Girgensons. When he came in he looked pretty good and I remember that nice between the legs move that lead to a goal against Detroit. He even has his own rap song! Now you can play a drinking game where you take a shot every time Girgensons falls down. Guaranteed to be hammered before the second intermission. Ah well, at least its hockey season.

You don’t have to physically be touching the puck to be in possession. When a player passes to a teammate there is a moment where nobody is touching it yet that team is considered in control. When a skater moves up ice going backhand to forehand there are very small moments where he isn’t touching but is in control of the puck. VO established control, Dahlin was offsides, VO directed the puck over the line and was moving with it. He controlled/possessed the puck as it went over before Dahlin got back on sides. The term for that is offsides. Maybe instead of standing inside the zone watching, Dahlin could move with some urgency considering how close the puck was to the line. I guess we’ll wait a few more years and a couple coaches for him to develop that.

UPL looked good. Cozens plays with emotion to the end and then some. Tage has been consistently good and creates opportunities. Skinner is mostly just a mouth that doesn’t shut. Murray is likable. Dahlin still sucks.

I hope Dell gets the start. Need some dependable goaltending for once.

I really hope this is the first of many good games for UPL as a Sabre. Fingers crossed the rest of the team plays hard for him.

At some point we gotta give someone more than a couple years to develop a team. It can take a few years for prospects to develop so why fire a guy before we see what his vision can do when ready?

Maybe a goalie in a package deal.

I’m not a coach but when I was kid the coach threw the puck into the corner and two guys went in after it. Two go in and one comes out. Eventually and some sore body parts later you learn.

I don’t get how people go Black Friday shopping after eating so much food that puts you to sleep. I’m useless by 8PM. Never mind throwing elbows for a new XBOX.

They have not offended me today but the day is young. The past decade is a different story.

I get the he is young argument and how previous coaches employed him affecting his development. However he is responsible for what he does on the ice and how well he does it. He will carve out a career but I don’t think it will be noteworthy.

Some stone hands plays, lack of cohesiveness and questionable give a **** moments. That will get you a 5-0 loss. Tokarski saved the game against the Pens and for his trouble he gets terrible defense the next game.

They got caught up in the frenzy and made bad decisions with puck management. This is a team going through a change in culture and mentality. The third period was a test and learning point. Hopefully they grow as a team and individuals from it.

Sometimes your goalie has to put the team on his back. Happy for Tokarski getting the win.

I say bring the kid up for a few games. Seeing some big league action could help his development and give some motivation.

Dell’s trade value is as high as it’s going to be right now. Just saying.
