I completely disagree with that 2nd game take. Buffalo dominated the entire game. Didn't punt once. And in the first game, it took a fluke huge TD run foe the Pats to score more than 6 points.

Mahomes rode the bench his first season. If you want to look at the same number of games actually played (59 regular season games so far for Allen), then it's Allen 131, Mahomes 149. Perhaps surprisingly, between sitting his rookie season and a few games where he was inactive, Mahomes has only played 2 more regular season games than Allen.

On the Pats' last drive, the D did force two 4th downs and got an interception. Good showing, but they were in that position thanks to Allen putting us up 2 scores and making a rookie desperate. That's probably going to be the key to our winning against good teams. D plays well enough to let the O get ahead and make the other team desperate and mistake-prone.

Every single offensive drive got to the Pats' 12. The 2020 offense showed up today. Every time they got the ball, I had no doubt they'd score. Love that feeling. Also, kudos to McKenzie for showing up with the opportunity afforded him by Beasley's absence. Several clutch catches.

4 drives on offense, 4 trips inside the 10, against one of the best defenses in the league. Keep it up!

Their performance in pass protection has been pretty much identical to last year.

He has worse numbers this year, against easier competition, with horrible red zone efficiency.
