If they traded Jack Eichel and the centerpiece coming the other way was a goalie I’d be livid. Luckily there’s no way this team (or Winnipeg) values a goalie highly enough for that to be a factor in a deal.

I have a feeling Tocchet will be the guy with how involved AGMJK reportedly is.

You’re not getting a first for taking on a guy with one year left on his deal at $6M. Especially not from a lottery team.

I actually kind of enjoy Kadri’s game when he isn’t crossing the line. He doesn’t play an overall dirty game I don’t think he just makes big, dangerous mistakes which are unacceptable but if he could eliminate those few he’d be a guy I want on my team today.

I wouldn’t only because I don’t think we’re in the position to make that deal and I don’t think Vancouver would either. A deal with Vancouver for Samson is a good fit, though. I’d be targeting Boeser or Horvat coming the other way.

Yea I think they’re close in value but the trade in question gives Samson far more value than Miller which isn’t the case.

If Granato is the guy the team should just give him a two or three year deal TOPS. Allows them to spend cheaply for a few years while getting out of other contracts they’re paying for people who no longer work for them and protects them in case he can’t take that next step as a coach.

I don’t know that Sam for JT Miller straight up would even be considered by Vancouver.

I don’t think there’s anything telling us McDavid isn’t a good leader and just because he isn’t as thick as MacKinnon means he’s not as determined? He’s the best player. Period.

I don't know if anybody caught it but the Lakers-Warriors was great TV tonight. Lakers started off freezing cold but stayed in it despite Steph Curry lighting it up. LeBron with another killer play in the clutch hitting a DEEEEEP three to win the game, once again proving he's the best to ever do it.

McDavid is still the best player but I think MacKinnon is a definitive number two at this point. I hope Edmonton gets it together because I want to see McDavid vs MacKinnon become a playoff thing.

Someone would definitely trade for Reinhart considering his current contract situation.

I’d consider this but I’m really interested in Pionk if possible. Maybe make it a Reinhart deal instead of an Eichel deal. Reinhart and Risto for Copp, Pionk and a 1st or prospect.

Yea I do think the Jets are probably giving slightly too much in the deal so the Sabres would have to add. Could likely either just drop the first or put our second in the deal along with another body like Olofsson.

No chance. That’s far too much. Reinhart has real value in that deal so it wouldn’t make sense to pair him and Eichel when you should be getting close to that deal with Eichel alone.

Indeed though he played and produced as a center in the AHL already.
