You said most teams would've given up on him after four seasons. That's false. No teams were going to give up on Cam considering how well he had played and how young he was... Evaluating QBs is something teams need to be patient with, but it truly is obvious sometimes whether a player has NFL talent or not within a short period of time. If they've got some talent but aren't producing then you give them years to grow.

Sure. I agree with you 100%. Teams don't have enough patience for coaches, GMs or QBs. It's still not a defense for EJ Manuel, though. He was just bad and always was. Atrocious.

Still light years beyond EJ. Light years. They were given time because their talent and abilities were obvious. Not because they were question marks and their teams were unsure of whether they would ever be capable NFL QBs.

Peyton Manning is really really bad. Two consecutive Broncos plays that should've been TDs - the pick by Von Miller and the Manning miss. Argh. You're welcome for that TD.

Is Carson Palmer a Hall of Famer? If he wins the Super Bowl is he? If he plays two or three more prime years is he? My gut tells me definitively no right now, but it'll get interesting if he wins the Cardinals their very first Super Bowl. He's sitting at 40,036 passing yards, 259 Tds and 166 INTs for his career. He's likely to retire in the top ten in yards, TDs and completions. He's battled through so many injuries so getting to this point is extremely impressive. I'm going to say firm no right now but teetering towards yes if he wins this Super Bowl then follows up with at least two more very good seasons.

I see this year as year two. He took over halfway through the Reinhart year, so it's a stretch to consider that. I think Murray would like say the same thing.

When I hear "we don't do five year rebuilds" I think he means you don't have to wait five years to see meaningful improvement. That's already happening... This team is bad but they were historically bad with maybe four worthwhile players on the entire team after last season. You can't fill 19 holes in one offseason.
