  1. I do like (not love) Keller. I stopped at 10 mainly because the next group of Keller, Brown, McLeod, Jake Bean and Max Jones is so tough to split for me. I would be somewhat disappointed if any of these players were out pick. IF we were to somehow end up with a pick in the mid-to-late 20s I would be interested in Tyler Benson, Rasmus Asplund, Logan Stanley and Pascal Laberge.
  2. I'm just a big fan of this draft and the position we're in. Winning the lottery to get into the top three would've been preferred but it's nothing to cry about. We could sit at eight and take pretty much anybody within a reasonable range and be happy to have them. We could make a trade up to four using something like the 8 + Pysyk base or try to get bold and move up to 3 if GMTM can do it without giving up Reinhart (doubtful and I wouldn't do it if they require Reinhart in the deal). I think trading down a couple spots is the only option I don't like purely because I think it'd net us another second at best which isn't something I'm interested in. I WOULD, however, be interested in a deal with Anaheim centered around 8 for 24 and Fowler (would need another piece on our end) or 8+ to St. Louis for Shattenkirk. There's some wingers around the league I'd be interested in, too. There's very little that could happen to really upset me on day one of the draft. 1. Auston Matthews 2. Patrik Laine 3. Jesse Puljujarvi 4. Matthew Tkachuk 5. Pierre-Luc Dubois 6. Olli Juolevi 7. Jakob Chychrun 8. Tyson Jost 9. Alexander Nylander 10. Mikhail Sergachev Give me any of those ten and I'll be happy.
  3. Oh look! ANOTHER post where your only goal is to have negative impact on the conversation.
  4. The Evander Kane thread was deleted AFTER this recent development. Brawndo posted that no charges were coming, then the name changed (I think Brawndo started the thread and changed the title), then I posted the release from the DA's office, then after like two reaction posts it disappeared...
  5. Thanks. Maybe I've been more out of the loop than I thought lately haha
  6. They won 11 of their last 12 games heading into that including a ranked team who hadn't lost at home in a LONG time and the eventual postseason A10 champion... Losing to Davidson is what happens when you play in a good conference. Jack Gibbs is the 5th leading scorer in all of NCAA Basketball this year. There's no argument against Bonas. Tulsa got destroyed in their tournament on Friday to an even worse team than Bonas did.
  7. Of course I'm bitter. My school was just one of the, if not THE, biggest snub in history. Statistically they are. It's outrageous.
  8. Because they play in the MAC... Give Bonas the MAC and they'll make the tournament every year.
  9. I haven't seen one report that Denver was interested in Fitz, so I don't think he outpriced himself...
  10. College hoops arrogance? Give me a break. Bonaventure is the best basketball school in WNY by a long shot. It's not arrogance, it's the truth. Sorry if I'm a little excited when one of my teams doesn't suck year in and year out. They're the only team that plays in a relevant conference. They got absolutely jobbed yesterday and EVERYBODY knows it. Still had the best season of any school in the area.

  12. Yea, if only they had just done what Tulsa did and lost by 22 to an even worse team than Davidson in their own tournament on the same day............. *crickets* This is all-time bad. Legitimate reporters calling it one of the biggest snubs of all time if not THE biggest. People legitimately questioning if corruption is involved because, of 59 professional "bracketologists", LITERALLY 0 had Tulsa in. 52 of the 59 had Bonas in. The head of the committee is close with Tulsa's AD and used to work with him. He even hired him for his first job.
  13. This thread is about Evander Kane...
  14. Bonaventure has the second highest RPI for any team to not make the tournament. First regular-season conference champ with a top-30 RPI to miss the tournament. Syracuse, according to one tweet so I'm not sure how accurate it is, has the lowest RPI of any team to ever make it.
  15. This bracket is atrocious. this.
  16. That's not true. It disappeared.
  17. You're right. I'm also somewhat surprised others hadn't taken issue with it. Also, why was the original thread deleted in the first place?
  18. It'll be decided on Sunday. Will be sometime next week.
  19. Thanks! And there are 68 teams that get into the tournament. The winners of each conference get into the tournament (there's like 31 conferences or something like that). Then the rest are "at-large" teams selected based on their entire resume from this season by a committee on Selection Sunday (this Sunday at 5:30 it will be announced). It's a huge deal for Bonas. They're the third smallest D1 school but have a good history (outside the scandal) in college basketball. After the scandal it was thought that the school was essentially dead and the basketball team would never be good again but here we are, likely getting a second tournament team in four years. The school gets a bunch of money for making the NCAA tournament and the farther they go the more they get.
  20. That was a highly depressing and angering game. But it's alright. The luxury of being in a good conference is that the regular season gets it done. Did the camera add ten pounds or was it all the beer?
  21. Have you paid attention? Even a little bit? The non-victim alleged sexual partner here never filed any complaint or charges. This was entirely by the hospital and BPD. Had nothing to do with a "chick."
  22. UntrueBlue, how misguided you are. ;)
  23. From the DA's office: CRIMINAL CHARGES WON’T BE FILED AGAINST EVANDER KANE It has been reported in the media that beginning on December 27, 2015 professional hockey player Evander Kane has been the subject of an investigation by the Buffalo Police Department. This investigation was the result of the Buffalo Police following automatic protocols that are in place. Those protocols were followed and there was never a criminal complaint filed. After a careful and diligent examination of all the known facts, including the results of forensic and toxicological testing, neither the provable facts nor the applicable law support the filing of any criminal charges or a prosecution in this matter. The Buffalo Police Department and the Erie County District Attorney’s Office take every investigation of possible sexual assault Michael J. Flaherty, Jr., Acting District Attorney Erie County District Attorney’s Office initiated as result of those protocols very seriously and utilize every available resource to conduct investigations into matters of that nature. Out of respect for the privacy of all parties involved and given the fact that these matters need to be handled with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality, I am unable to comment any further regarding the details of the matter.
