So who are some names people would like to see come up in polls as we near the bottom of the top 10?
-
So how do those who are in relationships with somebody who is politically opposite of them manage that? I've never been in that situation personally, but I'm interested to see how the dynamic works. Especially when politics is on the minds of everybody during this election.

The winner isn't Danny Gare by one vote over Mike Ramsey

Joe Biden is an incredible man who I hope never listens to SBF's advice. America is better when Joe Biden has a voice.

It's worth noting that Nylander has been playing left wing. Could be a clue to where and when they want to get him up to the bigs.
-
Neither of them are anywhere near the level of the players we're still voting on right now, but they're going to be in the top 50 without a doubt. Barnaby probably on the tail end and Peca somewhere in the middle.

There was a glitch in the new poll so I fixed it

New poll is up. Phil Housley comes in at six.
-
Of course it's fair to criticize him on that. It's fair to criticize anybody on any belief they hold. I'm not criticizing him for how or why he believes that, just that he believes that.

So your first response to "what freedoms is Hillary taking away?" is "I want to take the freedom of choice away from women?" K.

Oh my god Sabres twitter was atrocious tonight. Holy god. Very few tweets, didn't know where the next game is, no tweets about penalties and power plays. So bad.

They're hip hop. Not a knock or anything but they're not in the rap discussion for people like Vonnegut who probably would have a different view of rap if it was all like Atmosphere.I've heard a bunch of their stuff and like it, just don't listen by choice. Glad somebody brought them up. The line between rap and hip hop is a very grey one. A lot of people classified as rappers refer to what they do as hip hop artists (Common and Tupac, for instance, both claim to be hip hop artists, not rappers; Tupac did so inconsistently tho). But Atmosphere isn't the artist Kurt is talking about, methinks.

Atmosphere isn't rap, for the record

Hopefully we draw some more votes in this thread going forward because if it's going to start drawing so few votes I'm probably not going to continue the polls.
-
And there's still something to be said about the resiliency of them to survive all of this. Everybody wants to talk family values but "family values" don't automatically mean you have to leave somebody for their indiscretions. You're allowed to work through it.

Wait ... What the is this? I've never heard of it but heard this is something the candidates often attend. So much for separation of church and state. Get the out.

I don't think Anaheim is actually looking for lefties in return for Fowler. They've got Lindholm, Theo, Larsson and Depres. Part of the motivation for moving Fowler is making room for Theodore and Montour.

http://www.tsn.ca/video/insider-trading-lindholm-s-holdout-and-fleury-s-future~976840 Insider trading for today. No mention of Buffalo (they talk about Fowler but say Anaheim is still working through their options). Interesting note from McKenzie: there is about a $30,000 cap charge for restricted free agents per DAY that they are not signed during the season. Because of this Anaheim is likely looking at at least $300,000 in extra cap charge for Lindholm whenever they sign him.

No. You can make trades whenever you want. Hell, you can make trades after the deadline if you want (those players just can't play in the playoffs). Early-season trades aren't uncommon.

If Anaheim makes anything beyond a passing glance at Reinhart for Fowler they're overrating Fowler severely. He's good. He's off to a great start this year, too. But he's not nearly worth Reinhart. Nylander is another story, but I don't want to go there either. If they say Nylander and nothing else then I walk away. Kulikov's play has been inspiring in the two games so far. Hopefully that keeps up and turns into an awesome partner for Risto. I'm very confident that McCabe is a second-pairing defenseman right now.

McCoy out Sunday according to ESPN and could miss time beyond Sunday ... Yikes.
-
I suggest you citing, Sakman. :p
-
Would anybody here be willing to give Nylander up if the Ducks were sending Fowler and Silfverberg our way? Obviously we'd still need to add something to that.
-
Drumroll please .... Mogilny is the winner. Taking nominations for the next poll. Gare, Ramsey, Schoenfield, Ramsay, Housley sound like a good group? Andreychuk getting zero votes leads me to believe he's not ready yet.

No, just nok.
