  1. Of all the stuff coming out of the attorney today I'm most interested in her claims that McCoy never asked her to move out or attempted evict her. It appears court records show otherwise, but maybe I'm missing something.
  2. I think the Pens would've bought out Fleury before they let Murray walk in the expansion draft. But the Penguins interest in moving Fleury predated Vegas.
  3. There’s been some positive vibes about him throughout the year.
  4. Except there may not have been a walk back. Attorney later clarified saying they just realize they need evidence to back up the claims.
  5. The Golden Knights just signed Fleury to a 3 year extension worth $21 mill. That’s... a lot.
  6. Someone mentioned Flynn above and I feel like that may be a better comparison. But I do think they're on similar levels of skill and O'Regan just hasn't gotten the opportunity Hinostroza has. And I don't think either has a significant NHL future in front of them.
  7. I read through it. Some cliff notes... - Most view him as a top-six type. Several said they see him being a second-line RW with 20-25 goals and 50-60 points in his prime. - Don't want to trade him but several people say "you have to give to get" and would rather he go than Kyrou or Thomas. He was considered one of their "big four prospects." - A few pointed out a lower ceiling (35-50 points) because he struggles to use his teammates and hasn't filled out. - A decent consensus that he was rushed and should've spent last season in the AHL. - A few Berglund comparisons early that later got vehemently shot down. - A couple Alex Tuch comparisons as someone who has impressed every time they've watched him. Bigger body with a great shot. If I was to compile everything I just read I would say the vibe is that he's viewed as an NHL player who will put up around 40-50 points with the potential to have a 30-goal outburst here or there. There were two posters in the entire thread that I saw say they don't see him panning out (one of which said they see him at 15-20-35 which isn't exactly not panning out). Needs to improve footwork, physicality and defense. Some thought Yeo was trying to force him to be a defensive player based on his linemates instead of highlighting his offensive abilities. Can't say there's a comparable here because Sabres fans either love or hate prospects. They like him way more than we like Nylander. Less than Mittelstadt.
  8. He is. Read what I said. He's Danny O'Regan but got a shot at an NHL roster because of lack of organizational depth in Chicago. San Jose has a ton of depth. I don't think O'Regan will ever get a meaningful shot at the NHL.
  9. Same. Point still stands.
  10. Hinostroza is Danny O'Regan but he cracked the lineup with a team that managed the cap poorly.
  11. I've moved off my previous position that going after him with an extension in hand would be a good idea, but I don't think acquiring him would be any sort of inconsistency from the front office. He's a good player. He doesn't need to be THE "leader" here. Also, if you're defending ROR from media reports from within the locker room but vilifying Patches for media reports from within the locker room are you not committing the crime you claim the Sabres would be committing by acquiring him?
  12. I'm aware of his stats, both in the AHL and NHL. Neither impress me in the slightest and they definitely don't put a 24-year-old in front of Thompson as a prospect.
  13. What evidence is there that Pacioretty had anything to do with Montreal's Subban mishap? Did Pacioretty intentionally hurt Carey Price and fail to re-sign Andrei Markov?
  14. Hinostroza is a 24-year-old sixth round pick who has yet to make an impact in the NHL. Stop it.
  15. I think it's basically a guarantee they go back to royal in 2020, but I hope it's not just a straight rip of their original uniforms. They're beautiful, but they're "boring." Modernize it a bit, but let's hope they don't it up. The first jerseys they've done with adidas have been good (the Winter Classic and finally dropping the piping/pits from the home/roads).
  16. Yea, I'm not high on Chayka and haven't been since he started actually doing things. He got way less than he should've for taking on Datsyuk and now this. Datsyuk works out because he got Chychrun from the deal which has been a good pick. Maybe he's good at drafting but nothing else.
  17. It's not about the cap floor. They've already got that covered. This is about them getting assets. For the record, I think they did a poor job of doing that. I have zero interest in any of what they acquired.
  18. For the next three offseasons we’d have $5.275M in dead cap space with Hossa. I have no interest in taking on more bad contracts over two years. Also, do we think Chicago has immediate plans for the added space? Justin Faulk? Jeff Skinner? Rick Nash if he isn’t retiring?
  19. If Lou decides to pay him more than a player who won a Hart Trophy in his second season and is already the best player in his league than Lou is an idiot.
  20. Has a chance to be a big steal. There’s been some talk he may end up being a fourth-line center for us sooner rather than later. For a guy that kind of seemed like an emotional hometown pick I’ll take that any day.
  21. $30 at the Sabres to get the Kane jersey switched to a Eichel if you feel like it. Also, I just picked this up a couple days ago:
  22. They’ve done incredibly well. I’ve never seen anything like it. I do think their prospects get a hype boost purely because every prospect they’ve had has hit big at the NHL level. Brett Howden, Anthony Cirelli, Cal Foote and Taylor Raddysh are their only elite prospects (not including this year’s draft class) right now, though. Guys like Jake Dotchin, Slater Koekoek and a few others are good prospects who have already played a solid number of NHL games or are much lower level.
  23. He'll get signed to an extension this offseason, and I don't imagine there's any offer sheet that wouldn't just be in the range he'll get in Toronto anyways. The Isles cannot offer sheet anyone this offseason without going way too low or cripplingly high (for themselves). They could next offseason, but the Leafs will have extensions done by then.
