  1. Pavelski really got tired of treading water in San Jose. I’m not sure if he puts Dallas over the top but he just might.
  2. Giving up McCabe and ERod plus a pick (depending on the pick) is not a lot to give up for a guy like Hoffman even if it’s just for a year. But you also get a full year to try to extend.
  3. The first step is admitting you have a problem.
  4. To pry him from San Jose it’ll be at least the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounder compensation (over $6M). It’s nothing but if it were something I’d pee myself.
  5. Start penciling in R2
  6. We don’t have to, but Bogo and Scandella leaving shouldn’t be a deterrent.
  7. I don’t think that’s an indication one way or the other. I don’t think they’d care if they lost Lazar. It’s a Rochester signing.
  8. Phil Kessel is very good. And better than anything they gave up by a very large margin.
  9. With multiple reports that we’re out on a couple guys (Zucc and Donskoi) does that mean maybe we’ve landed someone else?
  10. It’s certainly easier to get rid of them than it is to acquire one
  11. Signing a number two center is simple?
  12. Scandella and Baloo never produced nearly at the level Miller has the last two seasons.
  13. Ideally a Rochester signing
  14. Mike Hoffman would be the second-best forward on the team immediately.
  15. Risto for Mike Hoffman would give me warm and fuzzies in my pants.
  16. Let’s have some fun: To give an example: my 18th birthday was in 2010. My birthdate is the 16th. So the 16th pick that year was Vladimir Tarasenko. Who is yours?
  17. Yes to all of this. Flagg, I enjoy everything you say even when I disagree with it lol
  18. It could be months.
  19. I look at the potential at what they do. Like his ceiling as a goal-scored is a 10 to me. I’m not thinking he’s got Ovechkin-type potential but I could see him being an elite goal scorer. Olofsson’s 10 would be different from Eichel’s 10. Semi-forgot Bryson. I’d put him at the front of the extra group. Prospect rankings are interesting and tough because what puts one guy higher than one guy might not be the same reason he’s behind another. Borgen is high on my list not because I think he will or can be a better player than the others but because I think he’s more of a safe bet to at least have a good NHL stint whereas Olofsson is high because I think his potential is sky high. See the confusing explantation above.
  20. He’s an RFA.
  21. Correct. I think it's a long shot that he'd even consider us.
