I’m skeptical on the reports that they didn’t understand the cap implications. Largely because Woj reported after it got quiet that the understanding was the deal would be consummated immediately if a third team got involved and later if no third team got involved. A third team did end up getting involved when the Pels traded the Lakers pick. So the Lakers did know about the cap implications but didn’t have a choice.
Also, Rondo was a good signing. They should sign him again.
LeBron has a shot pretty much as is as long as they build a team with whatever free agents are left but I wouldn’t mind LeBron securing several more titles.
The NBA gambling deal kicks in next season so there’s a chance the cap goes up a lot once more. But I think he wants to get to LA in his prime but might not be comfortable with it right now.
It’s way more complicated than this, I know... but Lehner has the better career save percentage.
I disagree that Varlamov has proven anything more than Lehner has. He’s just been inconsistent for longer.
He appeared to have a good year two years ago yet Colorado spent big to replace him the following offseason (Grubauer) then let him walk a year after that.
I’d rather have Lehner now and long-term.
Bingo.
I think the fans should brutally boo him in game one then cheer him like crazy in game two. Show him we don’t soon forget the ***** he pulled but then show him how we treat our own.
Take this with a grain of a grain of salt because Biz is a funny dude so could be:
1. They actually made a big move
2. He knows nothing and is joking
3. They made a small move that he’s joking as big.
