A game like this id love to have... corey tropp in the lineup on a line with hodgson and vanek. foligno with the ennis line. ott on the grigs line. And Scott kaleta mccormick on the 4th. Scott did not see the hit he even mentioned it after the game. you really think scott wouldnt chase down that punk brown and lay into him??

totally off topic from whats being discussed and i dont have a great thread to ask this in but here it is... i was researching sabres draft picks that either never panned out with us or we traded away before they played for us and didnt know or hadnt noticed that Jan Hejda who has turned into a decent NHL D-man was drafted by the sabres. He never played in the minors, only in europe/russia, we traded his rights to Edmonton for a 7th rd pick instead of signing him to an ELD and he then signed a contract with them a week later. wondering why we seem to have been afraid to sign him or gave him up for so little in return. more interesting than anything i guess. Keith Ballard and Dennis Wideman were other nhl D man that we drafted who turned into pretty serviceable nhl players

well ellis plays center and gerbe plays wing thats my answer and you want scott there b/c of orr and brown like the previous poster said and the possibly still nursing injury aspect, as someone also mentioned.

when was the last time you saw weber playing in rochester?

probably depends on what were asking for in return as well. if a team is looking for a 4-6 defenseman i dont see how he wouldnt fit the bill. even though hes been sloppy for us at times hes also been playing top end mins, in a 4-6th role he could be more effective

yes leo is the perfect option for a trade hes a vet who can play and log mins, for a team looking for a Dman he brings a pretty complete package. maybe darcy is trying to pull another 1st rounder outta someone :P

Yeah thats true, the competition is probably alot weaker now too so easier for guys like pysyk sunder flynn or roy to shine.

Seems like some of the younger players are picking up the slack left by tj cody and marcus

Somethings got to give id love to see weber and brennan into the lineup and maybe take scott out for ellis if vanek is gonna play. I just want to see fresh legs hungry for the puck. Set the tone and show our players that if theyre going to coast thru the game or play sloppy then they will find themselves in the pressbox

Hodgson, Weber, Brennan and Enroth all RFA's next year on current roster In Roch we have - Flynn, Adam, Tropp, Schiestel, Biega, Crawford, Lagace all RFA's plus 4 UFA defenseman talk about an organizational overhaul thats 9 defenseman in the organization that need to be qualified or resigned in some way

we will almost always qualify all of our RFA's. ie: perrson. looking at our upcoming rfa's there are actually quite a few this year

yes exactly, if you didnt say this i was going to. And what makes everyone think that his 50 games in the NHL were his chance at the Nhl and now he is just shot and will never make it? he wasnt even projected to make the team last year. but he had a great camp and came out guns blazing. he hit a slump and got demoted yes. he lost his confidence and didnt do much in roch and is having an OK year in roch now but it doesnt mean this 23 year old is just shot and done with. i dont understand why everyone loses it on adam so much. he has struggled but he could easily get traded and prosper somewhere else.
