i was at the game when it happened i remember the hit was brutal and then he limped to the front of the net trying to possibly bang in a loose puck. you could tell he was in excruciating pain. he finally got off and had to be helped to the locker room but you could tell it was going to be a really bad injury.

i understand your points. i guess i'm assuming he can be done rehabbing by the end of season/playoffs. it would be a shame to not see him back i feel like he plays a game that buffalo needs. has more offensive upside than people think and still is a great down low grinder presence that we need. but would understand if the injury is that bad and the rehab process is going to go well into the summer if they walked away.

i know its a brutal injury and a long rehab but i cant imagine them not qualifying him. he was a virtual lock to make the sabres roster out of camp. i'm sure theyd qualify him and see how he does in next year in training camp and if he cant make the squad then play him through the ahl for the year and see if he regains his form

i know corey tropp is supposed to be out the year but is there any chance of him making a late season return? or playoffs?

yeah right on, i've seen him too many times shy away from helping a teammate getting mugged by a couple defenders after the play. And he needs to consistently use his size in the corners at both ends of the rink to really make a case for a full time nhl'er

i disagree, adam needs to be playing center in roch thats where he has excelled. he had a slow start to the season but has picked it up in the past 15 games or so. what was he on like a 7 game goal streak? and maybe 10 with points? i believe he will start in roch but still has plenty of upside and could find his way back to the nhl

i could see ellis going down if adam sticks. but i also think they wouldnt keep adam up to play 4th line mins, if he could play with leino and ott or gerbe i could understand. but if all sits normally then i see adam and porter in roch to start

The reason i could see adam or porter possibly on the roster is because of mccormick kind of getting shuffled out with the presence of Scott playing the enforcer role when hes in the line up and porter being able to fill the 4th line center position more effectively. I'm going to assume we all know the top 6 forwards for buffalo so the bottle 6 should be something to this effect... Leino - Ott - Gerbe Ellis - McCormick - Kaleta X-Scott but if adam wows the staff and earns a spot it could be Ott - Adam - Leino Gerbe - McCormick - Kaleta X-Ellis X-Scott with mccormick possibly being swapped with porter but probably not. In these cases rochester is left with Sunder - Porter - Mancari Girginsons - Varone - Flynn Roy - Schofield - Rankin Parker - Tarnasky - Legault with Schiestal and MacKenzie as probable healthy scratches on Defense and could fill in at forward. and only forwards available is calling up Lagace boychuck or syzdlowski from the lower tiers but they are all marginal AHL'ers in my mind based on what they're doing this year.

i feel like there got to be a signing for Roch once the sabres begin play and have hodgson foligno and possibly adam/porter. theres going to be way to much unproven or under developed forwards trying to carry the team.

i agree completely, it was just a "role" player that fights that popped in my head not really an enforcer. even though he could take 90% of the sabres in scrap anyway but still i agree :P

the bruins would never let lucic fight him, they dont want him even fighting guys like parros or shelly thats not his job. he'll play minimal games and be there to add some toughness when he need it. look at all the enforcers that got signed today. prust, boulton, parros all in the eastern conference. it takes some pressure off mccormick who was battling concussion issues last season.
