  1. This is a pretty cool article from a view of a guy that never made the big leagues but still making the most of his opportunities. Former sabres goaltending prospect Adam Dennis http://t.co/5CUt1MFO http://jrhockeyrecruit.com/2013/01/junior-hockey-adam-dennis-alleghe-throwing-sauce-eating-sauce-my-italian-hockey-experience/
  2. stafford has fought 6 times actually via hockeyfights.com- 5 reg season 1 preseason
  3. i agree hartnell is much grittier and tougher, fights much more. plays a physical style but has a decent finish to his game. stafford has now fought 3-4 times in his nhl career while hartnell had his first nhl fight in 2000-2001 12 years of playing since then accruing 60 fighting majors. i'd say hartnell had a big advantage just in experience alone stats via hockeyfights.com
  4. it seemed like foligno shied away from hartnell after the ennis hit and thats why stafford stepped in. I ,as well as everyone here i'm sure, would have much rather had Foligno in that fight rather than staff
  5. i see us battling for the 5-9 seeds. too young down the middle but i feel this is a very different team than weve seen in years past
  6. i see gerbe and mccormick on IR until they return from injury and they make a decision on Grigs, but they HAVE to be working a deal for shipping a defenseman out maybe bringing in a prospect/ahl forward
  7. i think he's more than a depth player, he had a rough year last year but was obviously battling injuries and lack of playing on a top line. He has shown he can be a capable nhl scorer good for maybe 20 goals a season. if he can do that and be a pest to opposing teams i think thats a good player to have on your roster. Yes, his size is an issue and definitely will test his overall durability but i'm interested to see what he does in this short season coming back from his surgery.
  8. so cool i love these looks at the team and organization.
  9. how much time would be left in the season at that point?
  10. i didnt know mark voakes was playing with ehrhoff and sulzer with the penguins in the DEL 2012-13 Krefeld Penguins DEL 37 9 16 25 24 -2
  11. travis turnbull? although his role is taken up by Tnasty i dont see why both of them would hurt the team 2012-13 DEG Metro Stars DEL 36 9 20 29 68 -2
  12. yeah i dont see ellis getting claimed. theres too many players who are younger with more upside being sent down. agreed
  13. yeah i dont think theres any reason to think gerbe would be sitting out year or anything more than a couple weeks i do understand your points as well. i guess its a matter of what kind of status his injury is in but i've heard multiple times he has looked terrific in practice
  14. id like to see ellis to rochester, they need to vet presence and some added experience
  15. does this mean gerbe and cody on IR? make D decisions later?
  16. be nice if roch could get old derek whitmore back, he would add some much needed scoring touch up front
  17. can i just say i HATE that we recycle numbers... hodgson-connolly / ott-roy / leino-drury etc etc leopold - patrick? a stretch on that one ehrhoff - tallinder #10 and Pardy - Morrison #27 haha thought of a couple more
  18. great more defense how bout some forwards that can play
  19. looked at one that was listed at $165 so $80-85 or so
  20. for everyone saying "i give it x amount of games before hecht is centering one of our top two lines" is there many other options if the lines need to be shuffled? do you want to put Ott there? or leino? i dont like have hecht anywhere more than a 3rd center/wing but at least he would have some chemistry with someone like pomer.. and on the plus side at least for the scrimmage tonight hecht is centering a line with kaleta and Scott. sounds good to me. once gerbe gets back i replace scott with gerbe and you have a nice shut down 4th line with some ability.
