  1. again people still thinking this move is the sabres idea of solving their problems. its one small move, they dont expect to turn the season around because of this.. maybe players wake up seeing a good guy and hard worker get waived though
  2. i'm not great at telling when people are serious or joking on here but to be clear... i really, really, really doubt that the sabres believe that waiving mccormick believe is the cure all to their woes...its just a roster move, maybe one of several, maybe not but everyone can settle down the whole "OH MCCORMICK IS WAIVED PROBLEM SOLVED PLAYOFFS HERE WE COME #sarcasm" yes i embellished but you get it
  3. just started skating lightly but is a ways away
  4. they are at their limit but they will just have to scratch a vet each game unless they let rissmiller walk from his PTO
  5. someone from RDS tweeted that we tried trading cody over the past few days but couldnt get a deal done
  6. not to mention ehrhoff and ennis are both not practicing. are we opening up a roster spot and making a blockbuster deal involving the hoff and enzo??
  7. Gotta be a move in the works Bob Mckenzie tweets McCormick has been placed on waivers what are everyones thoughts
  8. He also has played the majority of the season with a horrendous defense in front of him. possibly the worst in the league at times.
  9. He's definitely not a borderline AHL goalie. He was team MVP last year and is an absolute work horse. I've watched him play and he can be electric at times.
  10. i agree plus pavolec can be very good at times. The jets can be a very dangerous team
  11. The Jets only have 4 forwards that are listed UNDER 6'1" Every other forward is 6'2" thru 6'6" Defense is basically all 6'2" 6'3" or 6'5" Talk about a big team
  12. great point. maybe when someone goes on IR next we play our regular extras and make the swap.
  13. Maybe he's sick of seeing the enzo line getting pinned down in the D zone watching the opposition cycle the puck while they waive their sticks at them? Sadly our "Top" line is probably worse with that...
  14. nope were just gonna "luke adam" him. play him with checkers and grinders until he has nothing left but to goto the khl not that adam went to the khl but destroy his confidence.*
  15. This idea i like. My buddies dad is good friends with the Leggio family and its been said that Leggio was told he's going to get at least a game this season. For what its worth.
  16. play grigo over mccormick or scott w/ stafford common now, lindy has lost it And its official. Leopold sitting out tonight. Skating with James patrick alone now.
  17. Vanek-Hodgson-Pominville, Foligno-Ennis-Kaleta, Ott-Hecht-Gerbe, Scott-McCormick-Stafford. weird? from J Vogl i want grigo back in the lineup. if were gonna play kaleta on the 2nd line and stafford on the 4th why cant we put grigo out there with some capable scorers!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Gerbe is a tough case to look at because what happened to his best year when he scorched the 2nd half of the season totaling 17(?) goals total for the year? He has more skill than matt ellis i dont think that should even be an argument. He's shown he has scoring ability..do i think he can do that consistently as an nhl goal scorer...no way. I think with the right line mates he could get close to 20 goals again, but again with the right line mates. Normal circumstances say he will be a 10-15 goal guy on the 4th maybe 3rd line for most his career.
  19. HA! keep hoping, this team doesn't make moves like that. clearly
  20. i would love to see armia and grigorenko spend a season or part of a one in the AHL together
  21. We may have a decent first line in 26 19 29 but they are terrible defensivly. Hodgson losing it behind the net for the 1st/2nd goal (i cant remember which it was) and then pominville not just chipping the puck out on the 3rd/4th (havent watched highlights, just going off of memory) people saying we lost because lack of talent or no 2nd line..whatever you want to say, i say no...you dont make those simple, basic, elementary mistakes then its a different game. It goes back to that Toronto game when leopold got burned by Frattin at the end of OT or when Marchand zipped past Myers or the million other times our guys try to make a cute pass out of the D zone and cant do it. Its mental mistakes. maybe that falls on coaching in some way but i'm sure Lindy doesnt endorse dumb passes out of the zone so i'm blaming players mental lapses which is unacceptable. Games are won without those mistakes plain and simple.
  22. ‘Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Columbus and the Rangers each had a 6.3 percent chance of landing Crosby in the 2005 lottery. Columbus ended up with Gilbert Brule, who played for three different teams before playing in Switzerland. The Rangers selected Marc Staal, a very good defenseman. The Sabres took Marek Zagrapan, who never played an NHL game.' Talk about a lottery...you either hit the jack pot or you go home with nothing...aka zagrapan
