Have the Sabres learned how to play defense??

Tage leads the NHL in goals/60 minutes over the last 82 games(a full NHL season). Matthews is 2nd. Tage is also a better passer, and the more complete player as he averages 1:05 a night on the PK whereas Matthews doesn't play on the PK at all.

Tuch-Thompson-Skinner line is 5th in goals as a line in the NHL QPC Home Shopping Network Line is 19th as a line in the NHL... That is pretty freaking good...2 of the top 20 lines in the NHL.

Not if they continue playing at this point pace they aren't. Doesn't matter with other teams really...very few will play at this pace and the Sabres will comfortably be in the playoffs by April. That's a BIG if tho. Gotta be encouraging they aren't falling apart again on D with a bunch of starters out tho(Mule clearly a huge difference). Also encouraging they have allowed 0,2 and 2 goals in their last 3 games. They will win a LOT of games that way.

Yesterday was the first time ever the Bandits, Bills and Sabres all won on the same day! Great day to be a Buffalo sports fan!

That line is on a pace that far exceeds anything Drury and Briere did as good as they were. They are nearing LaFontaine, Mogilny, Hawerchuk status but still got a long way to go to get there.

The craziest part was Lehner for the most part outside shootouts was pretty good. At times, really good. Even on breakaways... He definitely had a case of the Yips on shootouts. There is no way you should be that good at other things and that bad at shootouts.

I'm hoping so too but expecting it to be more like even a stopped clock is right twice a day situation.

UPL has been dreadful on the PK(except last night). He has allowed 11.5 goals above average per 60 minutes...meaning if the Sabres were on the PK for an entire game they would allow almost 12 goals more than an average goalie by the end of the game. He needs to be way better. And way better at rebound control, which even last night he struggled with badly(second goal happened because of that)

At least he posts pics of hot chicks with banging bodies...

Lyubushkin should be back soon too...now if he could figure out how to block shots like every other player and stop blocking them with his ankles we would be good.

Gotta be careful with that...we have already seen an even greater one from a Sabre player in my lifetime in Dominik Hasek.

And in the last 20 games, Thompson leads all players in points/60...Skinner is 6th, Cozens in 8th. Sabres are really starting to turn it up...

He is also 9th in terms of points/60 minutes also...and Skinner is 19th...

Tage Thompson now leads the NHL over the past 82 games in Goals/60 minutes(min 20 games played) at 2.17 over Auston Matthews(2.08). Astonishing ascension from where he was. Not sure which one is more improbable...Allen's ascension with the Bills or Thompson's ascension with the Sabres. Also...look at Jeff Skinner on there at #16.
