I think the move to center more than anything is what helped him. Granato is a freaking genius in some ways.

Still needs to work on rebound control(see Caps 3rd goal), but his positioning and angles have been night and day from the beginning of the season...you would see him come out to cut off the angles and there would be half the net there to shoot at...almost like he didn't know where he was positioned in relation to where the net was once he got out too much. Not sure how they have corrected this, but it is very noticeable now...when they show those same angles with the player coming down he is giving up not much of anything net wise...amazing how something as small as that could be making such a huge difference

In close, he has unbelievable stick control and ability to slow things down time-wise where the defender is attempting to make a frantic play and he simply pulls the puck away, waits for them and/or the goalie to go by him then buries the shot. Saw it in both the Boston and Washington game on goals, and almost saw it again where he beat like 3 dudes to the front of the net and was about to dipsy doodle and the defender made a saving poke check from behind. It's like he sees small spaces where he can put the puck that nobody else can get to and his stick length makes it so he can pull the puck away from the players and they can't reach it, except he does it all so fast in real time that it doesn't even look real at times.

If I was the other team on the PK I would simply leave one guy dedicated to face-guarding Tage at all times and not let him set up the one timer.

Sabres still have not lost in Regulation when leading after 3 periods...their last 2 wins have come after the other team ties and takes the lead in the 3rd and then we rally to win. Good to see from this team...they never give up and just keep playing.

It's almost like the light switch flipped on for him after the first 5 or 6 games...he has been playing very well lately. They got a 5 on 3 to close out regulation.

My goodness...Caps are just blatantly taking out Sabres left and right and they finally get a call at the end...then Skinner gets tripped and nothing.

No call on Power getting mugged behind the net either on Ovie's goal either.

Why? The Sabres are a much better River Hockey team than the Caps are if they want to play that style.

I always said if Mogilny had another breakaway move besides the slide between the 5-hole, he would have scored 90+ goals that year he got 76. He scored a lot that way but he also got stopped a lot too.

The way he can go from getting control to shooting in a nanosecond might be the best release I have ever seen.
