  1. Its possible it COULD prevent you from getting it, but that would mean you would have to take it religiously every day and that would get expensive...far easier to start taking it at the first sign of symptoms.
  2. The flu tests suck, btw. They take this giant Q-Tip and shove it up your nose...and it does NOT feel good...but the results come back in like 10 minutes.
  3. Definitely going to stock up on Sambucol Elderberry extract...numerous scientific studies and tons of evidence from people who use it have shown that it prevents viruses from being able to enter cells and replicate by blocking the receptors the virus needs to target on human cells to gain entry. It has shown to be effective against a wide variety of viruses, so there is a good chance it would be effective with COVID-19 as well. Might not be enough to prevent someone from getting sick but a good chance it could really reduce the impact and lessen the recovery time and severity. IMHO, the elderly and other people who are at higher risk of death should have supplies of this on deck ready to go. Its like the Karate Kid....if a virus cannot enter the cell, it cannot replicate. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3056848/ https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/325055 https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/04/190423133644.htm http://www.sci-news.com/medicine/elderberries-influenza-virus-07145.html https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15080016 2 Studies directly pitting Elderberry vs. Tamiflu in flu patients -- Elderberry wins: https://theherbaltoad.com/blog/elderberry-vs-tamiflu/ Cocktail of Elderberry, Green Tea and Cinnamon extracts shown to be effective against HIV: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19641233 Elderberry MetaAnalysis study shown to substantially reduce Upper Respiratory symptoms(COVID-19 is an upper Respiratory disease) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30670267 Long research article citing numerous studies and talking about the effectiveness of elderberry in each(very effective against flu, bacterial infections and gingivitis): https://www.researchgate.net/publication/259696401_An_Evidence-Based_Systematic_Review_of_Elderberry_and_Elderflower_Sambucus_nigra_by_the_Natural_Standard_Research_Collaboration
  4. Yes, exactly my point. They are using a death rate calculation where the denominator is much lower than what it should be, thereby greatly inflating the numbers floated out there. And why is there no concern about a REALLY deadly Lassa Virus outbreak in Nigeria right now that actually IS killing up to 25% of infected people?
  5. I think it is safe to say that the claims that only 120K people have it worldwide is an absolute joke and defies any sort of logic as to how it could have spread this far this rapidly.
  6. Well...I think when all is said and done they will realize that far more people got it than they initially thought and the mortality rate was about the same. I mean look at what is going on: Many places don't even have test kits to test people for it which is drastically lowering the number of "confirmed" cases. Up to 60% of people either have no symptoms or very minor symptoms resembling a cold, which means they wouldn't be getting tested, which REALLY lowers the number of "confirmed" cases AND helps it spread since they are still contagious. Even in some places that DO have test kits, they are not testing everyone who presents symptoms Several reputable reports are out there about China basically covering up the seriousness of the situation over there and drastically under reporting the number of people infected. Common sense says there is no possible way this virus could have spread to this many countries this fast with only 120K people infected worldwide. No freaking way possible. Which means the LIKELY number of people who have been infected is in the millions, which means the mortality rate is somewhere in the 0.3% - 1% range, similar to the flu. Anyone who wants to take a bet on further research coming out in like 6 months or so showing the number of infections were at least 10X what they are reporting right now, I am all for it. Easy money if you want to lose it.
  7. I am not as down on some of the moves as others I guess...I thought Jokiharju for Nylander should have gotten him arrested for grand larceny.
  8. Convenient you left out the Kahun trade which is showing signs of potentially being a very good one for him...
  9. Didn't help that it coincided with Eichel being hurt and his longest point drought as a professional player...
  10. Who cares about 5th and 6th round picks that we would have gotten for pending UFA's. They amount to nothing in the NHL in 99% of cases...might as well be looking for a needle in the haystack with them. Tired of this team always running for the hills and dumping players. Maybe a team that acts like it actually is trying to win will inspire some confidence ion the players for once that the organization is trying to actually win games and not just accumulate meaningless mid late round picks.
  11. I have no idea how he is playing with an intercostal muscle strain if that is indeed the case...I ended up going to the ER for it due to using crutches for about 3 weeks and it was so bad that I couldn't even hardly take a breath....it was the only time in my life that I thought about whether it would be better just not to breathe anymore. We still seem to let in a bad or crazy goal every game...I have often wondered how is it teams always seem to score goals against the Sabres that bounce off a player in front, or get some crazy bounce that the Sabres themselves never seem to score?
  12. For as talented as Eichel is he sucks at shootouts, basically blasting the puck i to the goalie... The best I have ever seen was Kotalik with that unstoppable backhand move...everyone knew it was coming and they still couldn't stop it.
  13. Reinhart with the "lets get out of here and go to the club" lackluster attempt...SMFH
  14. It's so strange how a player who is only 31 has turned into a shell of himself a year after scoring 17 goals and 2 years after scoring 24, the last of 5 straight 20+ goal seasons that included 2 30+ goal seasons as well... plenty of players play well into their 30's and maintain good production---maybe not at their prime levels of their mid 20's but not "fall off a cliff" production either. Kind of the same thing that happened with Okposo, except it happened to him a year earlier.
  15. I know he is dealing with some sort of injury and hasn't gotten a point in six games. What was once a shoe in for a 100 point season has now become a question of whether he will even be able to hit 90 points this year...
  16. This team has checked out for the season. Again. I mean no but probably there are better times than when you just clawed your way back to a 1 goal deficit.
  17. Does any team allow more absolute garbage goals than this one? Always at the wrong time too....
  18. Honestly now that we see what has happened since him, was Darcy Regier such a bad GM? I almost would say think about bringing him back at this point. I am kind of with you...on the balance he did a very good job here for a long time. Towards the end when things needed a reboot, partially because Golisano wouldn't spend to keep Drury and Briere it got rough, but we made the playoffs a LOT while he was here...8 times in 15 full seasons and we finished above 90 points 8 times and 100 or more 3 times...far better than the total number of appearances since he has left which has been 0 and the number of 90+ point seasons we have had which also have been 0.
  19. Looks like Phoenix will too...maybe as early as this year thanks to a really weak Western Conference
  20. Ok, and we have Eichel, Reinhart, Dahlin, Cozens, and Oloffson...plus a few more I am not thinking of....so what?
  21. Does it matter tho? As soon as they hit their second contract they will get traded because the owner won't pay them Banging the secretary just isn't acceptable anymore...err...sorry...administrative assistant.
  22. Stats show the opposite offensively...he averaged 0.54 points per game last year and he is averaging 0.66 points per game this year. Not a huge improvement, but still an improvement. He also is averaging a little under 2 minutes less per game of ice time too.
  23. If you think the Sabres are bad...the Sens continue to show they are simply a tire fire... The new CEO was hired after an extensive search so he could lead the team for the next decade according to the Sens owners but he lasted only 2 months haha https://sports.yahoo.com/senators-fire-ceo-they-just-hired-8-weeks-ago-154711468.html
  24. I don't buy it...Botterill has not been acting like a person trying to save his job, he has been acting like a person who knows he is being given time to implement his plan. Whether it works or not is a different question.
  25. This team blows..constantly blowing 2 goal leads...WTF??
