One thread I would really like would be a news thread - where just headlines (or confirmed tweets) are posted and no discussion. That way if you miss something it is easy to get back on track with what has happened. But this mainly comes from the fact I am a few hours out of sync with you guys so generally miss large chunks of news/updates etc. But I can see why this might be less of an issue (and in fairness 99% of the time i do just wade through every post in the threads) I would even welcome a rumours thread, where again, just rumours from credible tweets are posted so it is easy to keep track of what is happening - but i can understand why this might be even more unwelcome But perhaps these 'improvements' would not even be suggested if the threads were not as cluttered?

I don't really understand this move. I understand we are tanking, but we just got even worse. Who is playing defense now? Myers is our number 1 - does that make Pysyk our number 2? I guess if Ehrhoff made it clear he didn't want to be here and the risk of trading him and him retiring was too great or something

I'm actually really psyched we got Reinhart. Despite leaning towards Bennet all season. Reinhart seems happy to be a Sabre and is not flashy by the perfect guy who can carry this team. We needed a work horse and we got one. Girgensons can be our energy guy and Reinhart can be our backbone. Also takes fan pressure off Grigo, which I think will be good for his development. Does Reinhart make the Sabres this year?

Let's hope he dropped because of his size and will one day be St Louis

Hodgson and Reinhart could make a nice 1-2 tandem. I think they both have good hockey IQ and could make pretty nice passes to one another. If Foligno finally returned to playing the power/banger role to give these guys space/dig the puck out of the corner it would be a sweet line

We have had 17 1st/2nd rounders in the 4 years. I think we can risk a third on getting a goalie

That now explains Anaheim's bizarre behaviour at the deadline by jettisoning a top 6 plaer and not doing anything else

I am happy to trade any guy if the price is right. However, Myers price is high. I think he breaks out next season. He is still a young guy and has been maturing whilst asked to shoulder the workload with Ehrhoff. He will do well this season - if we trade him i bet we end up kicking ourselves

He said he had no idea about a blockbuster trade, but thinks there must be one happening due to lack of commitment from other GMs. Trading for Spezza os definitely a blockbuster trade; so i doubt he is trading for him

I'm gonna miss the draft (rehearsal for a wedding tomorrow) and because I am in San Jose I can't even get 3G on my phone. This evening is going to be a busy one... It will be a shame to miss the trades and picks as they happen. I want a Sam, I just can't decide which one. Hopefully we use this draft, not just the picks, to really establish ourselves for the future

You are. LITR doesn't count against the cup regardless of players age. The over 35 rule meant that even if he retired (which was clearly the plan) his cap hit would count. So now they have him parked on LITR and when his contract ends he 'retires' - thus never having to swallow the 5 million hit
