IMO Carolina is going to be a suprise team this year. I still think they are a really good bubble team but if they can fix some of their defense they could sneak into a playoff spot.

WOW that center would be Awesome!!! IF it gets built i can drink at the game and have a place to stay at night. Also this would generate business and familys to move to Buffalo. In turn maybe lure some potential FA. :thumbsup:

I think Girgensons and grigorenko are off the table. You have a possible #1 center in Grigs and a possible better Gaustad/leader in Girgensons. IMO Tyler Ennis could be moved before training camp in sept. he's still a RFA and shocked about that but he is one piece the ducks want.

After the dust clears on the Shane Doan sweepstakes he will be a PHX coyote. He played his whole career for them and if he really wanted to leave he would have accepted a contract already. IMO

IMO Tim Thomas is becoming the Glenn Beck of the hockey world. At first he was funny, sane, and logical then he boarded the crazy church train to wackville. Tim Thomas is going the same route.

Leduc is old enough to play for the amerks? If that's the case I'm kinda excited about the amerks defense.

Doan is probably going to NYR. Its going to be Parise/Suter to wild all over again.

IMO i think this makes NYR a stronger contender for Doan.

The only reason why I say 2 years would be by that time some of our rookies would be more experienced. Also a lot of the teams in the east have gotten better where buffalo has just marginally got better. (as of now)

We can agree that Doan would be Buffalo's saving grace (35 yrs old or not) but we have to look at it as a very long shot to land him. I really believe that he has interest in Buffalo but understands that if he ever wants to make the SCF in the next 2 years its not going to be with buffalo. Buffalo should be in "trading mode" right now. Overall we have alot of expendable d-men and need more scoring up front. (example RW's) Final thought- true #1 centermen are not traded they are raised. we have 3 possible future number one centermen right now in(Hodgeson, Ennis, Grigorenko) and IMO we need to focus on developing them before we decide to ship one or more off for a Bobby Ryan or Rick nash type of craziness deal. I know we desperatly want a cup now but if we can wait and develop these players we could possible be cup contenders year after year. Shane Doan would be an amazing fit in buffalo but realistically we should try to work on a trade that would benefit our team OR just wait until next offseason for a bigger younger fish.

I'm starting to believe that penn state is going to lose their football program. The statues down and I think the NCAA is ready to put the final nail in the proverbial coffin to end this whole horrible mess.

The only reason why I wouldn't trade Myers for Ryan right now would be because we don't have a number 1 center. IMO he would come to Buffalo and play great but if he had a bad season the buff media would eat him alive. Also when he became a UFA he would leave Buffalo no doubt unless we paid him a butt load of cash.

Heres the question IF Doan doesn't sign with the sabres what should be the sabres next step?

Your not "that guy" because if Doan leaves phx he's going to go to a cup NOW team not the sabres. His agent is just being nice when he said he's interested in Buffalo in IMO.

With Shane Doan going to all these different teams I feel like our chances of signing him get smaller and smaller. I'm wondering if he's really considering signing with a team like Pitt or rangers because they have a better chance to win a cup unlike buffalo ( at the moment).
