Im going to catch a few amerk games and some RIT hockey.

Well look at the brightside if a lockout happens buffalo fans can take a quick trip to Rochester and watch the Amerks play. Cheap tickets, cheap beer, good food and all over fun time.

Also think of this.....if miller is the highest rated goalie in NHL 13 then maybe other players will be too. IMO leino will be rated 86 and Vanek 97 and Hodgson 95. Lol

I'm really pumped for the game to come out. The new skating system is going to take a little bit to get use to but on the other hand it makes it feel more realistic. In addition, i get a kick out of some of the cutscenes like after you miss a shot or a goalie makes an outstanding save your player will look up to the ceiling. Also the AI has finally been upgraded. The basic one time pass left to right is not an automatic goal now. Also the goalies are more agressive and move more when your in the offense zone. overall, this game is going to take sometime to get use too but these improvements were definitly needed. Also if you reserve the Stanley cup edition your copy of NHL 13 you dont have to look at Giroux on the cover. :thumbsup:

If he retires do we still have to pay him the 30 mil? If so that would suck!!

I'm not going to be too depressed if doan signs else where.......the only thing that Will bum me out is that buffalos huge offer was true and still we couldn't land a player like doan.....who IMO is a great player/leader but not an elite player.

Canucks 4 yrs for 20mil I'm betting.

John Tavares would beg to be traded before going to the khl. Also I can name 29 other teams that would jump at the idea of a trade of tavares. Hell I would trade Ennis or Myers + a first round pick for him.

I know we are all arguing about how doan would be perfect for this team or how he would be a big waste of money but face facts it would be a snow balls chance in hell that he comes to Buffalo. Other than roenick confirming the big contract offer by Buffalo I have not heard or read anything that states that Doan is even considering Buffalo. He might be using it as leverage with PHX or Canucks but its just a Bluff. If PHX gets its ##### together he will sign with them faster than the flash in bed. :w00t: This is why until i read some tweets or hear on NHL.com that Doan is signing with Buffalo this Forum and arguments are futile.

Doan is a key piece buffalo needs to become playoff contenders. If we can outbid Vancouver and phx goes belly up I think we win the doan race. IF we get doan I really could see Buffalo competing for the NE division title for the next 2-3 yrs. I know it's kind of scary to think of one player changing a whole complextion of a team but that's the kind of player doan is and if we have to spend retarded money to get him, then by all means break out the $&@&ing checkbook and put on the helmet!! :) I just hope and pray Tpegs and Darcy can pull a magic rabbit out of their a$$ and land him. (also pray we have a hockey season this year)

I thought the same thing but I watched it last night and it was ok but no where near the original. Also the American versions of Neil and jay really bug me. I will probably give it one more ep. Just to say I tried. I wish it could be as good as the office but it probably won't.

Now that the huge offer is confirmed to be buffalos does this mean we are back in the doan sweepstakes or does it mean Tpegs is willing to throw around stupid money just to get big name talent? Part 2 of the question if doan doesnt sign with buff does that make hockey heaven less heavenly?

This actually is a good sign. I think the cba will get settled way before sept 15th because the nhlpa's proposal actually had a lot of concessions already in it. This shows the players are willing to play ball, now it's up to the owners.

Tropp and Adam will be playing for the Amerks. I'm wondering if Hodgson will play Rochester or not, he is still on his EL contract.

I think Buffalo would trade him before they let him walk. Also Ennis is still unproven (at center) If he had a full year at center and scored 30 g, 40 a, and like 80-90 points then he would have buffalo over a barrel and could ask for any price he wanted but he hasn't. Don't get me wrong I like Ennis and believe he has a lot of potential but I'm not willing to put all my eggs in one basket for a under 6 ft winger/center and neither is Buffalo right now.

IMHO Ennis wants 5-6 yrs at $4mil. I think the only thing holding buffalo back right now is the thought where will grig and grig be in the next 2 yrs. Also getzlaf could be on the market next offseason as well. Overall, I still think Ennis will sign after the cba situation but the question is how much?

First 25 games I predict about 10-15 actual fights and about 20-30 scraps after the whistle and during line changes. For the rest of the season and when ruff explains his "system" 5-6 fights and 10-15 scraps. Although I expect sparks to fly during that first Boston game. I would not be shocked if it was a full out line brawl of kaleta, ott, and Scott vs. lucic, thorton, and maybe Marchand.

Makarov is actually a decent goaltender and I'm actually really happy that he got invited. Worst comes to worst he could be the backup next year to knapp on the amerks.

I don't trust anyone other than Darren dreger on twitter. On the other hand it's some times fun to talk about these rumors. right now all teams are in a holding pattern until the cba issue clears up. IMO I dont expect buffalo to make any trades until trade deadline day.

eBay is the best place to sell them. I find the prices depend on how the team is doing that year. Example the la kings goaltender quick rc was super cheap 2 yrs ago after they won the cup I sold mine for $50 bucks. Lol
