Wait...but but but...I thought...fumbling...was...against....the Patriot Way? Surely my eyes deceive! Players for the genius would never fumble, because he geniuses it out of them! America should want us to get a home playoff game just to see what we could do with it....in the tailgate.
-
The Pats aren't playing good defense--the Ravens are playing bad offense.
-
Yea, Belichick calls it the "playing the Ravens offense" defense ;)
-
One does not suggest Jeff Fisher as Bills coach, even if only in gallows-style jest, and get away with it.
-
Liger > D4rk > WildCard. Who knew?
-
Okay, now I hope you get banned.
-
I need a "get out" gif, stat! Hopefully D4rk can pull himself away from thread title changing to deliver.
-
The Rams fired Jeff Fisher, aka the Dan Bylsma of the NFL (look at the Rams' offensive numbers!). Good for them.
-
It was reasonable at the time so this isn't really a criticism, but God bless whoever in Edmonton decided Nurse was a better selection than Risto.
-
To Huckleberry and Liger: I'm saying Murray should, ahem, incentivize the selection of one of our bad contracts. Frankly, I don't think someone like Bogo would take all too much persuasion.

Part of the WGR report was Tyrod's contact has some form of injury guarantee for around $30 million (I don't remember the exact details off the top of my head). So yea, time to bench him.
-
Precisely.

If the expansion draft goes and we still have Ennis, Moulson, and Bogosian on the books, that'd be a catastrophic failure of GMing.

I think Pegula is right in general, but man, there's just not much to really hang your hat on here. If the defense was strong and the offense bad, we could just point to "Rex needs a QB" and go from there. But the defense has been poor for two years now, and that's supposed to be his bread and butter. His idea to fix it was bring in his brother, who has presided over bottom-five defenses every stop of his career. Rex was my guy and I've defended him a ton in this thread, but it really is looking more and more like the league has passed him by. If his defenses are going to be bad, there is no compelling reason for him to be HC because he doesn't bring value added to any other area. It's sad because it's true :(

If it makes you feel any better, the EJ thing was more of "Cardale's simply not ready" than it was "I still believe in EJ!"

The Tyrod numbers you cite are not accurate according to Spotrac: http://www.spotrac.com/research/nfl/breaking-down-the-numbers-for-tyrod-taylors-option-619/ TLDR: If the Bills pick up the option and after next season decide he's not the guy, he carries a 2018 cap hit just shy of $18 million if cut, and a 2019 cap hit of just under $11 million if we cut him two years from now. Bottom line is if we're picking up the option, we're committing to him for at least two years, and probably 3. It's boring, sure, but is there any really compelling reason to can anyone before the season ends? Not like this thing is salvageable.
-
*wipes sweat from brow* That was a little too close for comfort. I avoid the toilet because of a (bad) defense I picked up on the waiver wire when I forgot to insert the Chargers into the starting lineup and their game started. Falling backwards into success!
-
Have you managed to come to your senses on Tyrod? :) 1) Hit enter. Please. I beg you. 2) I am continually perplexed by how you don't trust the Pegulas to do the hiring, but you trust them to hire the person to do the hiring.

*Patiently waits for Eleven's head to explode* Seriously though, lock/delete this post haste.

Man, as a football fan, the Colts make me sad. They have Andrew freaking Luck and they're wasting him. Perfect example of why continuity for the sake of continuity is a bad idea.
-
Doubt it matters either way, to be honest. I also doubt it would have any impact on offseason QB plans. I also don't think he'll be any good. I still want to see him though. Because reasons.
-
Because speed. Bylsma is unbelievably stubborn.
-
Stranger things have happened. What can I say? I like football. I want to keep even the faintest hope alive.
-
That was amazing. I burst out laughing. Doesn't fundamentally change the game though. Down 10 vs 11? Meh.
