  1. Yup. Nothing in his performance to date has made me second guess his projection.
  2. If Risto is a franchise defenseman, and Kulikov and McCabe are legit top-4 guys, the only thing we're really missing is a second RHD to play in the top-4. Not easy to come by, but not as hard to come by as a true #2. I think it's a perfectly viable long term to have a cornerstone #1 and then go committee-style top-4 with the rest. Toss in Guhle covering bottom pair LHD minutes while Kulikov plays out his hypothetical extension...all told McCabe's play has made me reasonably optimistic about the blue line long term. Just have to flip Bogosian into something better. Don't forget his 20 games of suck upon returning for injury! Honestly though, even if he plays the rest of the year, so you have any confidence whatsoever he'd survive a deep playoff run? And that's without getting into whether he's good enough when healthy anyway...
  3. Thing is, this has nothing to do with speed. I was willing to flush away two full seasons because because that's what I thought was the best way to build a long term contender. I don't want Bylsma gone because I'm impatient, I want him gone because I don't think he's properly developing the team to be a consistent contender. Same reason I wanted the tank. Going into the season I thought this was a bubble team, so no, I don't think I've been living in a fantasy world where they'd be top of the league with a different coach. My complaints are based upon what I see as fundamental problems with Bylsma that will not simply vanish when the roster is better and more mature.
  4. The complaints aren't based on one game. Sure, a(nother) game in which we lose while scoring one goal was the trigger, but the complaints themselves are rooted in the team's play for over 100 games. A hahaha hahaha. Hahah ha Haha Ha
  5. You read it here first: PA is stripping for Eleven as they play in water together.
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you also enjoy slow, tight, skating in the muck style hockey.
  7. Well. At least we didn't trade Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson.
  8. Killing it. I actually don't think that's too bad, though I'd prefer one more decent vet. It's totally unworkable this season, however.
  9. I thought Samson was starting to play really well at center, then BOOM Jack's back, and he's back on wing. Give me a center spine of ROR-Eichel-Samson-Larsson or give me death! No, I don't want to talk about what the wings would look like in that scenario.
  10. I appreciate and agree with your post...but this thread is now about Sega Dreamcast. Try to keep up :p
  11. At least Dreamcast had some legitimately badass games. I'm also jealous if you actually have one. Such a good, underappreciated console.
  12. At least please tell me you still have it. That thing is a conversation piece!
  13. Bylsma won a Stanley Cup. There are always people who want a coach who has won. No way in the world was Drane alone. His first beer is on you in the spring.
  14. But he has a Cup! He must be good! Correct, but they're generating chances.
  15. Was our PK this passive last year? I honestly don't remember it being this way...at least not to this degree.
  16. But Des will punch somebody to change momentum! The sheer love of his teammates shall rain goals down upon us!
  17. We should just let teams score on the PP so we can get back to even strength as soon as possible. ....I can't believe I'm advocating this team should get back to even strength play.
  18. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU FOR DOUBTING OUR PP!!!
  19. And just now O'Reilly's walk in front of the net.
  20. Yea, I was choosing to ignore that
  21. Despite the fact I think we've played pretty poorly, we also seem to have had a pretty high number of plays that a bounce the other way would give us a goal.
  22. I think our best pass on this PP has been Kane's little behind the backer there. I'd say that about sums up our PP tonight.
  23. Haven't seen it mentioned, but the Islanders signed Cal Clutterbuck to an insane 5 year contract at $3.5M per. On the one hand, between this and Ladd, it's good to see incompetent Garth Snow has returned. On the other hand, it's contracts like this that make me think keeping Foligno is going to be too costly to happen.
  24. Man, what did WildCard ever do to you?
