    The individual moments are great. But the problem is, unlike you, I don't see them as representative of a cohesive unit giving me hope. I see the great individual efforts as just that--great individual efforts. And more often than not, they aren't enough to overcome the rest of it, which I find almost unwatchable.

    I can't believe Toews made it over Malkin and Thornton. There are other issues I have, but that one really sticks out to me.

    Far too often when I watch a game, win or lose, I leave feeling I wasn't entertained. Whether it's Murray, Bylsma, the tank, or plain bad luck...it's not a fun team, IMO. As a result, I've relegated it to "if I have time" and background noise on most nights. So no, I don't enjoy following them right now.

    It sucks, but I just think Murray believes in the team he has assembled--even the depth pieces. He shouldn't, but he does.

    There is a zero percent chance I'm doing this legwork :lol: Other teams may not give up as many two goal leads, but every team turtles the majority of the time. There's a reason fancystats types adjust for score on stuff like shot attempts.

    I hate Bylsma as much as anyone, but honestly, all teams do this. I maintain that anyone who can legitimately solve score effects for both coaches and players will one day be rich.

    I'm glad my unflinching support of Evander Kane is being fully justified.... :ph34r: Though in my defense, I was one of the early members of the "he should be on the 3rd line where he's the primary offense force" bandwagon, which should be growing by leaps and bounds! :D

    I agree! ....so long as they're the worse team. I'm not sure it's trending that way.

    With Shattenkirk a pending UFA and apparently only willing to sign in a handful of places, is his trade value really much higher than a 2nd pairing guy? Honestly not sure it is. That team got the better end of everything across the board. I hate them and their fans and their media. They're by far my most hated NHL team right now, and if something doesn't go wrong soon, they'll be at Patriots-level hate.

    If the Leafs get Shattenkirk I'll need a hug. And a hooker. Maybe three of each. Doubt they get Marner. Nylander tops, and that I doubt. JVR makes sense too.
