  1. What was the end result of Eakins cross check?
  2. If there is no cross check Pavelski doesnt go off balance or leave his skates. Eakin started it and Stastny finished him off. The end result of the cross check was a head injury.
  3. If Eakin doesnt cross check him to go off balance Stastny doesnt push him down. So the cross check started the incident, correct call IMO.
  4. That's what I seen also, a cross check to the face/head and that caused him to go down awkwardly.
  5. Yet some would rather keep this guy opposed to Risto who is never hurt, younger, cheaper, plays 25 minutes a night, and will even get you 40+ points, smh!
  6. Trotz, Laviolette, Torts, Richards vs Housley, Bylsma, Rolston, Nolan. IMO, coach quality has made a huge difference. 30 other teams would take Risto in a heartbeat and here in Buffalo fans cant wait to get rid of good players. SMDH!
  7. Yes, he needs to get a lot stronger but he's fast as hell on skates.
  8. To add to this, I think Risto sees the coach, former trash coaches also as having poor gameplans, poor system, just poor coaching and checks out sooner than the others. Would love to see this guy with some good coaching. I think he would flourish on another team with a decent coach and that's why I wouldn't want to trade him.
  9. As it sits right now I would not have Thompson in my top 6 maybe not my top 9, and he's definitely not a 4th line guy. Don't think it will change much starting training camp, I would try and trade him. Will be 22 a month into the season with over 100 gm played, trade him for something.
  10. I kind of hope JBots includes Tage in a trade this offseason for a C2. 21pts in 106 games, never really lit it up in junior/minors anything, going to be 22 in Oct. I'll take my chances and move on, IMO Tage isn't going to amount to anything.
  11. I read that as him signing and remaining a Sabre will sort itself out, and no, that door isn't closed at all.
  12. Would love to be a fly on the wall for the exit interviews with the players who also played in Rochester for Taylor.
  13. Buffalo has 26 ROW tied with NJ and LA and second worst to NYR (25). They had 18 ROW on Dec 23. 37 games into the season, only 8 in the last 42 games. I don't know how Phil is not fired.
  14. FWIW, Pommer would be tied for 4th in goals if he were still on Minnesota. But yes I totally agree with you.
  15. If these guys aren't playing now and he's "lost the team" what makes JBot think things would change come Oct with Housley still coaching? IMO it's obvious as the sky is blue Housley gets the axe at seasons end. I think TPegs tells JBot its either him or you both go!
  16. Him or Chris Taylor, IMO either one is better then Housley.
  17. Phils record in 2 years speaks for itself. Tampa currently has 122 pts with 5 games to play Coaching Record Regular Season Playoffs Season Age Tm Lg GP W L T OL PTS PTS% Finish G W L T W-L% Notes Career NHL 158 56 81 21 133 .421 0 0 0 2017-18 53 BUF NHL 82 25 45 12 62 .378 8th 0 0 0 2018-19 54 BUF NHL 76 31 36 9 71 .467 6th 0 0 0
  18. IMO, TPegs will put pressure on Botts and this will end up with Housley being fired. Terry and Kim have said something needs to change. One of the 2 or both PH or JB will not be with the team opening day next year and my bet is PH will be gone.
  19. They have 71 pts with 8 games left. I honestly don't think they will get to 80 pts. Housley can't stay or the fans will mutiny. 20. The Sabres are 50 (really 49) points behind Tampa, who they were ahead of at the end of November heading into December. IMO, nobody should survive this epic collapse.
