I just relised that November 11th is just another day for you Yanks. Well, it is a big day in Canada, England ... especially here in Halifax, as we are a military town. So, maybe just indulge me and my fellow hosers, eh? Here you go ...

I am not sure if this is thread worthy, but thought so ... This coming November 11th is a very special day, as it marks the 100th Anniversary of the end of the 'Great War'. The 'war to end all wars'. History has shown that not to be the case. You guys and gals know that I am a lover, not a fighter. That is not to say that I do not appreciate and thank those who have served, those who do serve and, especially, those who have paid the ultimate price. So, a big thank you goes out to all that serve, or have served, be you a combat veteran, or not. And I also include any and all first responders, as well. Thank you, with Love from NS. Maybe soon there will be an end to war. One fine day ...

Quoting myself here. Not a first ... I wanted to thank all you guys and gals for your tremendous show of encouragement and support as I make my way through this transition. You all have been really awesome. One thing in particular saved me yesterday in that moment of weakenss and testing. It was what SwampD said that helped him and that was to think of yourself as a non-smoker and not a former smoker. For me that is a big difference, as he also said. I remembered that as I was approaching the turn into that smoke shop parking. I said ... 'NS, dude, you are a NON-SMOKER. Why would you stop at a smoke shop.' And I drove past. Thanks to all of you, but for yesterday I especially salute SwampD. Awesome, indeed.

Hockey cards, some have value, many / most don't. Football (US style) and Baseball cards (I have some) can be worth a whole lot. Is this what happened to you, or are you just relaying a random thought passed on to you by someone? I am happy for the happy ending either way.

I was out and about this morning. A few meetings and picking up something at a shop we like. Listening to Queen ... Tie Your Mother Down ... and I had a bad craving as I was approaching the smoke shop that I always bought my smokes at. I drove right on by. 30 seconds later, maybe not even, I was fine and the craving passed. Pretty awesome, indeed, if I do say so myself. A real test and I passed.
