  1. That is amazing. They guys are good, or at least getting there. They will be scary good when they play a complete 60 minutes and not just 35, or so. Just imagine what there chances of winning will be like then.
  2. These guys are the new 'cardiac kids'. Awesome comeback and great goaltending permitted it. At some point this has got to come back and bite them on the you know what. Rasmus II had a pretty rough night on many of the Pittsburgh goals ... only watched the highlights. That hit was great, though. Who's up next? This is fun!! GO SABRES!!
  3. Can't tell what that thingie is at the end and this post could go either way. Anyway, welcome to the board.
  4. Not sure if you all know that there is an open Club in the Club Section for trading / selling stuff. Anyone can go there and post / read stuff, as you do not need to join the Club. I just posted something in that Club concerning Sabre Hockey Cards.
  5. Some of you probably noticed that I have started selling some of my hockey card collection. I have several Sabre cards from the early to mid 1970s and then for two years in the early 1990s. Before some of them end up on eBay I wanted to see if anyone here is interested in buying some. A few notables ... Rick Martin rookie (at least 2), several early Perrault. I can't find my Extra Mintie Taro rookie, which is the most valuable card ever. I must have it in an extra secure place.
  6. Is there a template someplace? I thought JSB uses that format, but not anyone else. Well, you use a similar format. Feel free to do something up and post it in here ... I hope that doesn't sound pissy.
  7. My second GDT. I think they won the other one I started. Maybe not, though, it was in the ####### #### era. If someone could post some details about TV, but it will be on the radio. Lineups? MUST WIN!! It will be another good test. I think it was NB that noted that Crosby is likely out. I predict a big win. GO SABRES!!
  8. So, I put a few of my hockey cards up on eBay. It was relatively painless to set up and the PayPal account to go hand in hand with it. Sold my first card today. Paul Coffey rookie card for $45. After fees and shipping will end up with about $37.50 in my PayPal account.
  9. So, you addressed the local point, but not the 'you need to get a life' point. Interesting. Very interesting.
  10. Are you not in Atlanta? You need to get a life, man. Now, don't take that the wrong way, you know. I like you and all, but man ...
  11. My memory is not the greatest, but I believe Flagg will need to be sedated if the Sabres bring in Tofoli (sp?).
  12. It is far too early to tell if we will be buyers and to what extent. As nfreeman pointed out it depends on the situation in the standings. That will determine the type of buying. All I have to say is that the Sabres better not be sellers this year. Bloody hell!!
  13. Awesome!! That said, I have never understood the fascination with uncooked cookie dough. I mean really, it's rather gross, but I have a very delicate constitution.
  14. I did not see the game, but just watched the hightlights. Thanks, nfreeman, for the great summary above. This seems to be a pattern where the Sabres start slowly and give up a goal, or two, and then storm back after the goaler of the night bails them out and keeps them afloat. Not that concerned, as they are winning. In a playoff spot now and the top teams in the East are still within spitting distance. I thought and hoped that they would do well, but I never dreamed that they would be 12 - 6 - 2 after 20 games. These guys are starting to be good, or are at least very close to it and just about there. When's the next game? This is not something that I really felt ... looking forward longingly to the next game ... in a good 5 years. GO SABRES!!
  15. Nice job, nfreeman. We all know the rules anyway. MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!! We should see Linus this evening. 6:00 PM start time? What's up?
  16. So, they looked pretty bad for much of the game, but Hutter kept them in it. I will say it ... he should be and is our stating goaler, at least for now. They found a way to scratch and claw to a road win. I am starting to like the SO, so long as the Sabres win ... no, actually, I still hate it. Bogo just about cost them the game in the dieing seconds, but ended up saving it by shoving the loose puck under Hutter, with Jets all around, as regulation expired. I'm really starting to like this team. I have always been a fan, but I have not always like the teams over the years. These guys are pretty darn good and are getting better.
