This is a good perspective. He's a good guy and I would have loved him on the Sabres as recently as 5 years ago, but not now.

I know a number of people who have survived COVID and were considered to have beaten it only to die some weeks later from a series of mysterious strokes, or lung, or heart issues. Long term survival is going to be a big thing for some / many.

He is not 1st pair guy, so bring in someone who is and keep Risto as a #4. I only trade him for top 6 forward help.

I think the Sabres should keep Risto. He is not part of the problems with the Sabres. That said, if he needs to be part of a trade to bring in top 6 forward help then so be it.

I still think they should trade the pick for some immediate top 6 help. E. S. was a good pickup, but NS needs more real players.

In other news ... President Carter turns 96 today. Say what you want about his Presidency, but I don't think anyone would say that President Carter is not a great human being and has done so much good in this world. Trump and many others should take lessons from President Carter.

At the end of the day Bob is out there to direct traffic to TSN. He can't retire. He said he tried, but he couldn't. He is active at least until the draft and free agency.

Bob is very good at not cluttering the interwebs with junk. He often tweets stuff in a string from start to finish if there was say 30 minutes of fact checking. He seldom puts out a rumour then refutes it later. He does his homework on a big story then puts it all out there in one shot, unless it is just a stand alone thing.

While any player could and are traded with very few exceptions I find it very hard to believe that the Sabres would be wanting to trade Jack at this point. I also don't believe that Jack is entertaining asking to be traded at this point.

The Bills are good. Almost scary good. The NFL is a bit of a joke. Josh is not Jim Kelly, but he is very good and getting better. He has a coach that understands his strengths and is using them well. The execution is coming along nicely. This is a fun team to follow and should continue to do well, but will also give the fans cardiac arrest some times too. GO BILLS!! MUST WIN!!
