  1. I think the Sabres have to keep Hiney-Stroka just for his awesome name. Am I right @inkman? Hats off for the Hiney reference. He stays, I think.
  2. @Eleven ... It's happening today. I feel it in my bones ... https://www.google.com/search?q=epl&oq=epl&aqs=chrome..69i57j46i39j0i67i433j0i67i131i433l2j0i67i433j0i67j0i67i131i433j0i67j0i67i131i433.2929j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#sie=m;/g/11rgc1dvqj;2;/m/02_tc;dt;fp;1;;
  3. Have fun. The fans of both sides are not known for huliganism, so it should be a fun and safe match. Expect many Liverpool supporters in attendance. Salah is fantastic and is poetry in motion. It's easy to be a Liverpool fan and there are some on here. You should come over to the fan box of a small and feisty club ... Nowich City. +++++ There is a Soccer / Football Club here for football posts. I invite you both to check it out. Membership is free. I thought I had locked this thread years ago when I started the club, but maybe not, or did you unlock it @nfreeman? There are many topics in there including an EPL season thread. Any member of the club can start a thread in there. +++++ Actually, I see my last post was saying that I will lock this thread, which I will do now. So, off to the football / soccer club it is ...
  4. Who's Jack?
  5. Not sure about Muel? I don't think so. A bit of panic mode maybe? And to see if this guy has anything to offer.
  6. With respect, I don't see either as a problem. It's no secret that the Sabres are bad and are not the best managed team in the NHL, or even Pee Wee hockey. What needs to happen right away is that we need stable management that knows a thing or two about running a hockey team and a stable coach that knows how to grow a team of kids into something. I am hopeful for that. Once the management is in place then the players will be in place and the team will improve. Then winning will happen and playoff(s) will happen. Then players will want to stay here and come here.
  7. Then I will make the arguement that 11 was better at it. 11 could do and did what McDavid did in that video and back then the D would not be ***** footin' around.
  8. Well, Wook, I don't want to make light of your sadness, but maybe now we can just close our eyes and pretend that the terrible tank never happened and we didn't come in second in the lotto in 2014 and 2015. With the two top picks from those drafts no longer here we can finally move on and enjoy our team for what it is. If it's like none of that ever happened then maybe you will be able to enjoy McDavid for what he is ... the best hockey player in the world right now and perhaps the best ever.
  9. Welcome home!! MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!!
  10. Check out @The Ghost of Yuri profile and you'll find your answer. There are a number (well 3) Ghosts around regularly now and will be for about 6 months. After that ... only *The Shadow* knows.
  11. We all know why those players wore those numbers, but I don't think that either should be off limits. Good.
  12. I hear ya, my friend. Same old, same old. How's the old gang down at the grave yard? I ran into the @The Ghost of Yuri the other day. He looks great and says hi.
  13. Woof!! Then he should not see much time up here this year. Maybe some at the end of the season.
  14. There certainly value in keeping him in Rochester. My question is more along the lines of how far in his pro level development is he? I have no idea. I also don't know how much he has played in Vegas.
  15. You are very kind. This thread will be far less useful than that Samson one.
  16. How long does anyone figure before he comes up to Buffalo for good?
  17. What is the purpose of this thread? Really? I don't think he is and I, like @SwampD, have heard him talk many times.
  18. He's lucky he didn't hurt himself with that nonsense. He's not hurt, eh?
  19. Me three. I find that as I age I am far less attached emotionally to any sport player. The one exception is based on my attachment to the place more than anything, but the only jerseys I have are home and away Edin Džeko Bosnian National Football team. He captained them to the WC final tournament in 2014 and still is team captain at 35.
  20. With Eichel traded, Samson traded and Risto traded this really is Dahlin's team now. I think this will actually help. I think he runs with it and becomes the stud we hoped he would be. If everything works out in 5 years Dahlin will Captain the Sabres far into the playoff, maybe even the final.
  21. This is shaping up to be a great thread.
