Sabres Fan in NS

Sabre fans didn't even get one vote, I bet.

Three excellent games in a row. All on the road. All against playoff, or close, teams. If you go back a bit further they played okay against the Ducks, better against the Rangers and well against the Caps. All loses. The Caps game went to OT. Seems like they started to turn it around after the Panther and Hurricane debackles.

The dastardly duo for obvious reasons. Bruins and Flyers are equally dastardly in my books. There are many reasons, but the two key reasons in my books are ... spring 1975 and Brad Friggin' Park. Number 2 team is Montréal (ague alert @PASabreFan). My wife is from there and it's a fantastic city. Have never been to a game in the Bell Centre, but did go to many in the old Forum. A 2A would be Pittsburgh, because we lived there when they won their first 2 cups. Mario was our neighbour then (not right next door, but up the street a bit) before he built his own house out in the country.

I didn't even remember that Miller was out of the lineup. Man, I've got to spend less time working and playing with my wife and more time follow the Sabres more closely, eh.

The more important question to me is if they will re-sign Girgs and KO after next season? +++++ I think some GM that thinks this is the year will give up a second for Miller.

Playing with a healthy Crosby helps. Crosby is still drawing double coverage that it frees up space for Evan. Evan is another good player that was never given a chance to develop here. Can't we just be happy that another former Sabre is making it big time? 😉

+++++ Excellent thread, Ghost. I agree with all of it and will just add that the Sabres could not have asked for better veteran leadership, especially with Girgs and Kyle. That was a question mark when they were named captains. Other young players are taking up leadership roles too. Also, KA is fine and will not be going anywhere, except maybe into a President of Hockey Operations role. Much love, Ghost
