Embracing the Viceroy and Emirates Of Tankdom takes skills such as these. Well done. Gotta be much more coming back. Shinkaruk, Jensen?
-
 Then we could continue the Cody/Kassian debate with them on the same line.

Probably there are people from 1982 in Minnesota that said "if they draft Scott Stevens I'll throw a brick through the radio" We need a center like Ron Sutter.

Let's say with we get comfortable with the idea of Eichel.

This seems like such an inauspicious start to what should be a proud, mighty thread. I want a do-over.

I had this conversation with Bowman once. Scotty used the word "reluctant" IIRC. -
This is right up there with the Oscar Meyers Bologna, French's mustard, and Wonderbread sandwich.

Bennett vs. Reinhart Adrenaline in the Blood vs Ice-Water in the Veins I'm leaning toward the Ice-Water. But I'd be happy with the Adrenaline. -
Generally about 50 players from each draft manage to play a full nhl season. Many more come up for a cup of coffee. This year I see a steep fall off between 50 and 60. This is a pretty average draft. Lots of potential 3rd line players from 20 on. To get a potential top 6 I would want to move inside the top 20.

I actually don't think it is too bad. I imagine the cap will average around 75 million for those contract years. Which puts Gaborik about 1 million over the average player salary for the term per year. Not too bad when you consider the maximum player salary for that time period may average out to 15 million per season.

I like the bet.

Interesting. Maybe Jensen, Shinkaruk, and the #6 would do it. I don't think Tanev fits in. (Just wondering here. I don't think it is likely......but if they really like Elhers....trading down could be the surprise.)

Nighty-night. -
I think that is overstating it a little bit. Horvat is most likely a high-end third-line NHL player, but a good one. Reinhart is a top 6. I'm betting Reinhart is in the NHL a year before Horvat.
-
I wonder what the possibilities are for the Sabres to trade out of #2. For example, with Reinhart on the board, maybe you could deal to Vancouver. #2 for Bo Horvat, a player, and the #6 pick. Would you trade the #2 pick for Bo Horvat, a player, and still take one of Richie, Elhers, or Virtanen at 6? I'd be okay with that.
-
That seems like a reasonable deal.
-
We are going to get a good player. More than which player, or who is better, the player they choose will indicate what kind of team they want to build.

Still laughing. This made my morning.

That's like telling your guests at the wedding reception that you love another's bride more than the one you just wed. Lol.
-
Whoever they pick will be their guy. I always enjoy that part.

An intern petting zoo. I bet you that section would draw more than the monkey house.
