  1. We'll said, weave.
  2. That I recall. And Gary Roberts coming to his defense. (Gary responsible for the training regime, I wondered).
  3. I agree - he's ugly through the neutral zone. I haven't connected it to pain though.
  4. Endorphin sort of works that way, don't it?
  5. After puking my guts out, flat on my back, I' m not going to tolerate looking at poor choices in window treatments and crown moldings.
  6. Ryan Miller, in a press conference that went on forever (his agent never told him just to announce that he's there to stop the puck) - mentioned how much Buffalo will and will always mean to him. Gracious.
  7. Not sense IMO. Hodgson is a smart player. Recovery speed is his liability.
  8. If i'm George MacPhee II - can't remember his name - I move Ovechkin. Both team and player have grown stale with each other. Thanks for the Giroux comments  ....that brightened up a bad buffalo morning. WRT RJ etc.
  9. I always wanted to put a bluegrass band behind that guy at his pressers. Like Scruggs and Flatts
  10. Maybe. But I'm not ready to say that yet. I think when Cody looks really foolish is when he's trying to recover after a team turnover. I'm not worried about his defensive zone starts - (he has about 5% more than Ennis - which pretty much tells you something about how Nolan uses the two). He just looks plain old bad when the the opponent creates a turnover and rushes back through center ice. Hodgson is often half a second behind the play. When Hodgson is in position, heck, use him on the PK. Not the best option, but Nolan uses him on the second unit when a normal killer is in the box.
  11. So the AVS with Briere and Iginla in .....Stasny and Parrentaue out. AVS young guns a year older. They should be interesting to watch.
  12. I think Hodgson would thrive playing a Left-Wing Lock. That would limit his coverage area in the defensive zone. He's not bad defensively when he's in position, he's just slow to the spot.
  13. Maybe we could trade the Islander #1 back to them for Tavares. :)
  14. Defensively, I think this team will be okay. As for scoring goals and the early schedule, I have no worries that this is safely a bottom 6 team as it is still constructed. And I think I predicted 83 points last year. Boy....that was way too optimistic!
  15. Sometimes, Ice-time is king.
  16. I really want to see what a Gorges-Myers pairing looks like first. Better team. Myers value will likely grow. If that happens - better return.
  17. I think 34+ points is possible, yes. I wouldn't expect anything close to 60+ though.
  18. What did Giroux say when he grabbed the buttocks of the male police officer?
  19. Canadians, yuck. Always up in your grill saying please and thank you, and apologizing for stuff and making lines and waiting patiently.
  20. The problem, though, is that Mackinnon could be moved around because Colorado had the depth. Do you really want Samson to draw first line coverage every night? The results could be really underwhelming.
  21. What is often underestimated in hockey is the importance of friendships, respect, and the locker room. The captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs is.........well.........- he's a self-centered prick. This may or may not be true, but word is that when Mats Sudin finally had an official retirement party, half the Canadiens showed up out of respect for the man. The Captain of the Leafs at the time couldn't be bothered. It's not the city. Players love the city. Toronto has their captain signed to what? 2021.
  22. I notice that you aren't crazy about the signing of Moulson. That's okay. Most of us thinks he fits today. In three years, we could be sick of looking at him. We'll see.
  23. I suppose we could drop a few names, but that seems unsporting, doesn't it?
  24. It's 8:23 AM....pour another round, brother. I'll have one with you.
