    Yea let's not forget our strength is our defense, and you need cornerbacks in this league. Mckelvin hasnt played a full season since 2011 and stephon gilmore has missed games the last two seasons. You need "depth" at cornerback because your "depth" plays a ton. And if that was the highest rated player, then good pick

    @viccarucci: Whaley said gap between Darby and other players on the board was big enough that there wasn't a debate. So the bills were suppose to ignore the scouts and draft for need even though there was a higher rated player available?

    Yea of course, but their career ultimately determines what their value was. Who cares if the pick would've been ridiculed or not. Plenty of great picks and drafts were laughed at. If EJ wins super bowls, then you can't say the pick wasn't a value. If EJ sucks forever, it was a bad value pick. I don't know why my point is other than let players play for a few years before saying if the pick was worth it or not. They are all mystery boxes, so who cares if people value some mystery boxes more than others. And hindsight is all that matters. Not "expert predictions"

    The highest it can be is 21, the lowest it can be is 18. The teams currently slotted at 18-20 is detroit, calgary, and minnesota i believe. If any of them make it to round 3(i think), then they get bumped above the islanders pick

    Good post OP. I was annoyed at first because I hate how an inept front office keeps getting 1st overall picks. I feel bad for the fans because they are beyond incompetent. However, with the changing of the guard slowly happening over there, I feel better about it. I was really rooting for arizona if we didnt get it because it may help them avoid relocation. At least toronto and carolina didnt get him.

    Haha I meant it's a solid career path to look into. A lot of research and advice (speak to people like eleven!) is needed. My advice would be to only do it if you can get into a school worth going to and not have to pay that much for it. And with some preparation and work it can be done

    Or we could go out and sign a good 4th line vet? I don't think the only options for the 4th line is kaleta or Rochester. Plus, even if kaleta is our 4th liner, we need someone for the 40+ games he never plays

    No? I dont want any kaleta back. It isn't some crazy concept I don't like a 4th liner you do. Things I dont like about kaleta, and any 4th liner He punches himself He is always hurt. Seriously, kaleta is really injury prone! To be effective and play his style of game, he gets a suspension target on their back He has 4 points in his last 81 games I liked kaleta as much as the last person. But he is an agitator who cant agitate anymore. He has no offensive upside and he is always hurt. If you want to keep him, good. But I don't and you should be able to at least see that side

    It has nothing to do with age. He looked like a shell of himself at times, he has a target on his back, and I would like to move on from the old "core." He is the definition of injury prone. Sorry the player I saw last year isn't someone I care to have going forward imo I don't think anyone is saying that
